I traveled to Lisbon on vacation from Dec 21-23, short trip but the experience that I encountered at this hostel made my trip a 1000 times better. The staff alone needed to be rewarded just for their commitment to the hostel and their guests! I previously worked in the hospitality industry for 7 years as a assistant general manger of a hotel with over 250 rooms and I can honestly say when I return to Lisbon I know where I'm staying. Great service Great staff! GREAT JOB HOME!!!!

This is a very good hostel! A good price and a good quality!From my point of view, they need some computer to visitors.

Such a wonderful place, I'd recommend it to anyone coming to Lisbon. Met so many amazing people and the entire staff really welcomed me. I wish breakfast could go until 10.30! And that there was more hot water. Still, the free laundry, bar, dinners, and details in every aspect make this a wonderful and beautiful place to stay. Can't wait to return after the renovations, because I can't imagine that this place can get even better. If you're in Lisbon----stay here!

Best hostel I've stayed so far. I felt at home. There was a lounge for guest mingle, chill and watch a movie. I loved the room, there was a sense of privacy with the curtains. The staff was amazingly helpful and caring. To top it all of, there was the delicious mama's dinner. To end the night with complimentary Portuguese wine/liquor. Love this place so much.

best hostel ever stayed, especially the staff...

Did you miss out on that home away from home boarding school experience when you were young? Home Lisbon fills that void. More than likely, your stay at Home Lisbon will end up as one of the most memorable aspects of your trip to Lisbon.

We enjoyed our stay at Home Lisbon, it was lovely and literally made us felt like we were home. So please do not change! But maybe you could improve the place by adding more shower places? Just a suggestion :)

Just a little problem, one night I took a shower, it wasn't hot water........ but everything is so wonderful! The staff is so great!!!!!!!!!!! I'll come back soon!!! Unfortunately.....I didn't eat the mommy's dinner>

The staff, the other guests, Mama and Mama's dinner's were all wonderful. Hospitality at its best.

The hostel was very easy to find. Public transport was very close by. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Had a wide selection of food for breakfast, which is a plus. And the hostel is always SO clean its ridiculous (in a good way). Had a really pleasant stay here, would definitely recommend this hostel to friends!

Location of the hostel = very convenient and close to the city center Hostel = very clean as everyone agrees Dinner cooked by Mama = simply AMAZING Staff = nice and easygoing people Weekend Away in Lisbon = PRICELESS!!!

The staffs are very friendly and the atmosphere is so nice here, I love Mama's dinner. I think it's a quite good idea for those who hesitate go out during the night. They have also a professional bar counter. If you come alone, you can enjoy your stay definitely.

I highly recommend this hostel to anyone! I have been to over 23 countries so far and THIS hostel is the best hostel I have ever been to. It is cosy, comfortable and incredibly homely with the most fantastic staff who made you feel incredibly welcome and made you feel part of the family. The location is excellent, central to everything and not forgetting Mamma's dinners each night! What a great invention this was, sooooo easy to meet new people. I am definitely coming back and SOON! :) :)

Excellent location in the very center of Lisbon.Very good breakfast with cheese,ham,eggs,jam,sausseges,fruit,joghourt etc.Mamma's dinner is a must,at least once.

Fantastic hostel, it's the little things that count such as doing your laundry for you, home cooked meals & free padlocks. It was very clean, central & security to the rooms & hostel was tops. The only downer was luke-warm to cold showers but it's hard to always have hot water with so many guests. Would recommend this hostel to everyone & I would definately stay here again in Lisbon.

great place to meet new people and absolutely loved MAMA, she's amazing, a great cook and a very strong woman!

I definitely enjoyed staying here, everything was great and my expectations were met beyond. The only concern was there was no hot water on the second floor but I know it was in the process of getting fixed, on the last day I was there.

It was a really, really wonderful time in the Home Lisbon Hostel. I met very, very nice und kindly people and made friends. I sleeped excellent and therefore i was very good prepared for the Lisbon-Marathon. THANK you very much for the excellent dinner in a wonderful atmosphere. THANK YOU! Absolutely awesome! The bet hostel I've ever stayed at. There are a couple infra structure things that need to be worked on, but the qualities this hostel has no one had or will ever have. It is truly a home!!! I will go back always!!! Highly recommended.
