Mama's Dinner was excellent, and she's such a doll. Very clean and comfortable. They have two ipads you can use for the internet. The showers run out of hot water in the morning if everyone else has already showered. thats the one downfall.

It was the best hostel I've ever stayed in..-..mainly for the really friendly staff and MAMA, who cooks typical Portuguese dishes every evening and makes everyone feel at home. It's the sort of place you can stay in all day if the weather's bad.... it's really very comfy with a great living room and bar/chilling out area. The rooms are on different floors that you can get to by lift. The only bad thing is the showers - often they were lukewarm, but I've heard that they are having work done soon.

Simply great! Excellent facilities, excellent stuff, excellent rooms...Book it and you will be in the center of everything. Don't miss Mama's dinner, it's a great chance to taste the original Portuguese cuisine!! :D

I can only recommend this hostel, its one of the greatest hostels ive ever stayed in, very cosy atmosphere, and nice homecooked meals!

Such a niiiiiice place ever! All the staffs are very nice and very Attentive. The Hostel has a great atmosphere and the Mama;s dinner every night is amazing and makes you feel at home. I dont know what kind of magic this hostel and Lisbon has to make myself so happy. I recomend 100%.

This was my first time staying at a hostel and I have to say the bar has been set VERY high after staying at Home. The atmosphere is great and perfect for those traveling alone (but also great for pairs as well). Beds are very comfortable and the lockers are a bonus. The family dinner (home-cooked!) is really the best and provides an opportunity to get to know one another easily. There is an optional pub crawl as well. Could not beat the location and the area itself is very safe. PERFECT.

If you decide to go to this homey hostel – and I strongly recommend you to do so – do not miss the most awesome initiative I have ever seen in a hostel: Mamma's dinner. You'll find yourself sitting at a table having a real mamma's dinner with Mamma herself(who is one of the sweetest women on earth) and lots of travelers like you, having fun, socializing, and eating excellent local food. I just want to say thanks to the hostel for the special dinner they organized. The rest is good, though, too.

Words can barely describe how amazing this place is. Much more like a B&B than a hostel, Mama Isabelle and her staff made every moment I was there wonderful. Even more, the place seems to draw only the best people. I arrived alone and was in good company every minute after. The dinners are unspeakable delicious and the family environment is just surreal. I'd go to Portugal again, just to stay there and see who I meet. Bravo. Well beyond what I could have ever hoped for or expected.

This hostel is simply amazing!!! Great location, very friendly stuff, even better atmosphere!! Facilities are astonishing, you have hairdryers, soaps, towels...everything in the bathrooms. Cleanliness is TOP! And never miss the Mama's dinner, its the top thing in this hostel. Every night you will be able to eat tradition Portuguese cuisine, homemade! For 10 euros per night, this hostel is five-star among all other where I stayed either in Lisbon or even worldwide. Best solution ever!
