Great atmosphere, great staff, great location. One of the best hostels I have been to so far. I especially recommend the organized walking tours (for free) with Soraia, who is an excellent guide.

I traveled with 3 other girls, and we had a 4-bed room to ourselves. The security was great: when we arrived our room wasn't quite ready, but the staff let us put our bags in a locked room. And then when we were ready to check in, we were each given our own lockbox with a padlock and key for the room. The atmosphere was fun and welcoming, and there were plenty of optional events to get to know the other residents. The resident staff were great as well. A really great hostel for young people

Great people, great contact, great advice! Thanks for the great week end spent there! Ask for a room on other floors than the reception floor as it's noiser and a bit less clean

The best hostel I've ever stayed in - they wash and dry your laundry for free. Isabel, Andre's mom cooks a large and tasty dinner if you sign up and pay a mere 8 euros! A great way to meet people, get to know the staff, relax, experience true Portuguese food. The hostel is impressively clean. Unique from other hostels. Affordable. Centrally located. I can not say enough good about this place.

Probably my best hostal expérience. What makes the difference at HOME are the people. The staff, the family, who go out of their way to make you feel " at home". Wether you are hanging out in the living room watching DVD's, eating a home-cooked meal prepared by mama,or even getting your laundry done for free, you will come away from a trip a Home Hostel feeling like you stayed with friends. I would reccomend it to anyone and would definitely come back. Small Tip: Bring your own hair dryer :)

This is THE BEST HOSTEL I've ever stayed in! The name lived up to itself, I feel like I was at home. The owner is awesome (Andre, if you're reading this, discount on my next stay? HAHA!). The location was superb and very easy to find! Mama's home cooked dinner is the best feature of this hostel because as a traveler you don't get to eat cheap home cooked meals. That was definitely a plus. Oh and the free laundry! Oh my god! Never have I been to a hostel that provides free laundry before! AWESOME

Home Hostel MADE our Lisbon vacation amazing! The people we met including the staff became what my sister and I like to call our new Portuguese family! MAMA'S DINNERS were the best meals I've had in Europe and I will return to Portugal just to eat them again! From start to finish Luis, Andre, and Mama made us feel right at home & the whole Wild Walkers team became friends we will never forget: Iolanda, Sara, Sofia, not only were they great guides but the memories created w/ them topped our trip!

This is the Hotel of Hostels! We arrived, from Canada, on New Years Eve. That evening the Hostel served `Mamma´s Dinner`, the owners (Andre) mother comes by each evening and cooks a traditional Portugeuse meal, including a starter, Sangria and traditional desert. After dinner the Hostel hosted a New Years bash and then we all walked up the hill to a larger party that other hostels were participating in. The staff are very friendly and go out of the way to make your stay in Lisboa unforgettable.
