I´ve been travelling around europe for 1 and a half month right now and been to several hostels , but no other hostel can be compare with Homemade, it gives u the feeling of being home while u are travelling. On the other hand the staff is amazing , they are more than happy to help you out and reply to all your questions (even the most wierd ones) , Anyhow I would deffinatly recomend to everybody to visit Budapest and stay at Homemade hostel,you will have a blast. What I loved was the place was beautifully decorated and full of character. The location is very near to Oktogon metro station, which is really convenient. The place is clean, and staff are generally friendly and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to go back there again.

Great cosy hostel. Big rooms, enough space. At least in 6 bed dorm. Warm, and beautiful old building. With area for smoking in the centre (outside, but covered). Close to much of Budapest, easy walks ( even in below 0 temperatures). Staff very friendly, open and helpful. Clean and large kitchen-dining area. Overall, great hostel!

had a very enjoyable stay, the staff were very friendly and there is always someone at reception to help you out. They also made everyone a very delicious goulash soup, free of charge which was very nice! The location was also really central and right by a metro station.

Absolutely fantastic hostel! The best I've stayed in in Europe! Really comfy, lots of character and a great location. The staff are amazing and are always ready to help you out and give you advice on where to go out and what to do in Budapest. Definitely stay here and definitely go on the pubcrawl! Thanks guys!

The hostel proves totally its name! Very cosy atmosphere, easy-going and friendly staff, awesome location, crystal clean rooms, and unique old style funny design of interior! Highly recommended!

A very nice place to stay, well located. The staff is very nice, every speaks a very good English and if you are a bit lucky, you can find someone who speaks your native language. They also give very good and reliable advice, if you need some, about places to visit and how to get there.

Without a doubt one of the finest, if not THE finest, hostel I've ever had the pleasure of staying in. The rooms were homely, comfortable and wonderfully decorated. The staff were truly friendly, welcoming and fun individuals. Of course, the location was brilliant, the value for money - great, and the facilities - too numerous to count. Many say Budapest does hostels well, and this is true. But even with the wide number of hostels available, Home Made Hostel rises well above them all.

Amazing hostel, the best stay I've ever had. All the staff is pretty awesome, friendly, and helpful young people. The rooms are very comfortable and private and also very clean. Tuesday cooking nights are a must, the food is delicious and the pub-crawl afterwards is very funny, It's a good way to get to know where the locals party and to meet people. I loved my stay at the Home Made Hostel, the best place to get to know Budapest!

I absolutly loved my stay at the hostel. The staff is friendly and very much thinking ahead of you. Small points of improvement to make it even better: clean the unseen nooks and cracks to prevent the place looked used. Better curtains to seperate the beds from the room.

I had a great time at home made hostel. It was really clean and organized, very well located. All the staff was really helpful and the bar tour was great! I definitely recommend this hostel.

This hostel was excellent in every way. In particular, the staff were most friendly & helpful. Indeed , I regretted having to leave to go home.

Good location and walking distance to every major tourist sites. Hostel had a homely feel and staff were more than happy to help out with travel needs and restaurant/night life recommendations.

I loved this place. Budapest is the best. This hostel is like the name. It feels like a homey series of apartments. The staff were out of this world. Young, friendly and welcoming. They were so accepting of all my wildness. Its central to almost everything including the ruin clubs and the baths(not to be missed). I know for a fact that my time in Budapest was made all the better because of this pleasant little gem.
