The Hostel is situated conveniently in downtown Pest tucked into an apartment complex on a retail street with easy access to trams, busses and metro transport to the rest of the city. The hostel is incredibly clean and the staff work hard to maintain spotless bathroom, bedrooms, kitchens and common rooms. Staff are wonderfully helpful and accommodating, ready to advise on great activities in Budapest and really great fun! Secure boxes for belongings are well sized and beds very comfortable.

A very unique and cosy hostel, very clean. Staff were very friendly but sometimes a little bit vague. But the atmosphere was great, good place to meet fellow travelers. And very good location to central attractions and the Jewish Quarter.

A big thank you to the wonderful staff. My wallet was stolen and they helped me a lot to get the contact to the police embassy etc. Afterwards they made me a hot tea to recover a bit. Thanks so much! Hostel was lovely, private beds, lockers, lights at every bed, a nice kitchen... Dont hesitate, Home Made is the place to stay in Budapest.

excellent hostel. right off UNESCO world heritage andrássy avenue and literally steps from the subway and tram, the facilities are top notch and clean (but also homey), with three shower/ bathroom combos, and a full kitchen and a lounge.. reception is open 24 hours. staff is friendly and knowledgable. i've been here four times now over four years, it's always maintained the highest standards. make sure to book early, as it's a popular place and can fill up quickly.

This is the best Hostel I've ever stayed at. Everything was perfect. The Staff was simply unbelievable. The atmosphere is also great. I could spend my whole day here writing good things about this Hostel and in the end I wouldn't have said enough. I totally recommend home made Hostel for everyone. Greetings from Brazil.

The staff is really friendly and helpful. And the location is good. Even the hostel is a bit small, but it really makes me feel like home. Just a small problem that some people were talking loudly after 12 am, and no one stopped them.

nice hostel, not too big, familiar atmosphere, I'd especially advise it for a group of 2-4 people to book the 4 bed room. metro is very close and around the hostel you can find everything you need (bank, supermarket, bakery, restaurants etc.)

its really a good place to stay, you´ll feel welcome and the atmosphere is so good that you´ll want to just sit down and relax. The staff was also amazing, socially with everyone and always available. Also, its walking distance to many great places in Pest.

The hostel was full when I was there, so it was a little cramped. The stairs creaked, the voices could be heard till 3 am. I esp didn't like the fact that they don't have a plastic water heater and use an old type metallic kettle for boiling water. The bathrooms were mostly clean, esp with so many people around, it was important. The kitchen area was ok, but a bit small for all those people. The location is perfect and it's on the first floor, which is a plus when you carry heavy luggage.

To describe that hostel: As to share a flat with 20 people. A hostel full of life where you are able to be only for your self, too. The crew is helpful with any therms. It was my first stay in a hostel, thus there is now chance to compare it, but I enjoyed my stay a lot because I was looking for a room for my stay abroad. Therefore I spend most of time at the hostel. So find it out on yourself and visit that place during your stay in budapest.
