We stayed in the apartment which was bigger than our flat at home! Fabulous stay.

Great place. I would highly recommend this hostel to other travelers. The staff is the best out there and very helpful.

The hostel is in a great location, and the staff is super friendly. They even cook a traditional Hungarian dinner for you one night a week

Very good location (city center, 3 minutes from the railway station). The staff is extremely friendly: they provided us a taxi pick up from the airport (which was very useful because we did not have much time to spend in Budapest) and gave us all the necessary information to visit the city. The room was clean and wider then expected. The buiding where the hostel is situated would need to be restored: but the inside is nice and I especially loved the atmosphere of the place.

Had 6 fantastic days in Budapest enjoying the sights and food. I would recommend staying at Home Made Hostel if you intend to go to Budapest as the staff were friendly and helpful and the facilities/4 bedroom sleeping quarters were excellent. If I return to the city I would definitely stay at this hostel again. Thank you Home Made Hostel!

Staff are great! They give you loads of tips on where to eat and drink. Location couldn't be better. Lockers for security. Kitchen for use with free tea coffee. It is a small hostel and has a common area for mingling with fellow travellers. Will stay there again on my return to Budapest!

Nice Hostel and in very good location. Staff are helpful enough and checked my ticket to ensure I had bought the right one. This might be a comment on hostels in the eastern block in general, but I think more could be done to give information on trains and buses. General stuff, like DO NOT BUY ONLINE AND BUY AT THE STATION and train times and prices; it's all we need, but it's very hard to find!

On a two month trip around Europe, this was my favourite hostel. Lots of character and very chilled.

Super comfortable and lots of character! Good kitchen, large lockers, great community feel and within walking distance of everything, not to mention Budapest is incredible!

The Home-Made Hostel represents the epitome of warm, cozy, cleanly, and convenient low-budget accommodation. From the moment of arrival, I knew I was in good hands. The staff are extremely knowledgeable, willing and able to help plan your excursions around Budapest or the surrounding areas, keep the hostel in immaculate condition, and always show the most positive of attitudes. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the layout is ideal for meeting new people and socializing.

Home Made Hostel is the best hostel I've ever stayed in, hands down. The staff is amazingly friendly and they'll help you with whatever you need, and the whole place is cozy and wonderful. There is a fully equipped kitchen and quite a few bathrooms. Perfect central location - in between Buda, the Jewish neighborhood, and City Park. I cannot recommend this hostel highly enough. Please stay here!!!

Friendliest little hostel I've ever stayed in! The staff was great!

Can't rate this hostel any higher, the people were lovely, the location was brilliant, the price was great, the atmosphere in the hostel was brilliant, the attention to detail in the decor and living areas was brilliant. I always find you get those hostels that have really nice pictures and the hostel looks like rubbish compared to the pictures... Not this one! The hostel lived up to the brilliant pictures. Very impressed. If I'm ever in Budapest I would stop by again! I've recommended it too!

wonderful buiding !

Stayed here just for a night, was good to me, the staff are quite helpful and friendly. My security box was broken, but either way I didn't feel anything was going to go missing since the hostel has a nice environment to it. Beds are really nice and it is a great place just to chill.

We had a great stay there, the team was helpful, funny and just lovely. As a guest you just feel welcome there and home - if you want.
