Home Made House Hostel was fantastic. Lena was a wonderful host; she had plenty of suggestions for things to do in the area, was extremely warm an welcoming and even made a beautiful breakfast spread for her guests every morning. I had a wonderful stay at Home Made House- it wasn't long enough! Thank you, Lena for your generosity and hospitality!

Lina is fantastic, it's a small place but because of that it's got a family feel. Breakfast in the morning is real solid. The only thing is that there's 1 shower for 12 people and only two bathrooms.
People in the street don't speak English or they didn't want to help? I asked many people for direction, not much helpful. A bit hard to find the place. Should have home made hostel sign at the front, not very clear. Owner Lina is a very friendly, helpful person. I appreciated! She should always get guess's rent before they stay no matter what time it is? Not every single person is honest. I don't want her to miss out rent from any guess.
The staying is excellent. It's a really small hostel, so that you can closely communicate with mates and you will feel like in your home. The owner is very helpful and the breakfast is delicious, will definitely stay in the hostel again If I back.
Very nice and helpfull staff! At evenings they arranged games and other activities. I would highly recommend it.
I had a very plesant stay at the hostel. The staff was very helpfull and doing their best to give you a plesant stay. The down side of the beds specially the upper ones. You don't have a places to put your stuff. Maybe a bag or hanging basket would be great.

One of the best hostels I've stayed in and I am happy to offer an excellent review :). First of all, the staff was great, always giving the best tips of what to do, where to eat, where to drink, where to buy tickets and so on. Common places nice and tidy, good breakfast and a really great atmosphere. Will return to this hostel.
This hostel could not have been more accurately named. Lina, through her warm nature and genuine hospitality, has created a place that instantly makes you feel at home. The homemade breakfasts, the willingness to answer questions that she must hear all the time, the impromptu outings to local bars...it all adds up to the feeling that you are staying at a very knowledgable friend's house, instead of in a hostel.
Everything was soo good at Home made house, the place is really comfortable and Linda is super nice, she makes breakfast for everybody every morning, some days pancakes some others Omelette. The place is super well located, close to the bus station and super close to the Town Hall and the main sightseeing spots in the city. Definitely will stay here again if I come back to Vilnius!
Home Made House was definitely the best accommodation we had this trip, The owner is so nice, she's super friendly and gives the best advice about where to go and what to do.
hostess made breakfast for us..a first at a hostel in my experience..no lockout..hostess gave good tips for sightseing.
Это место прекрасно! I would personally like to say thank you to Lina, a holder, who was so friendly and helpful. You've been a person who made my stay in Vilnius so comfortable and so unforgettable (in most cases ;-)
Great hostel, friendly atmosphere in a perfect location. Five minute walk to the Old Town, ten from the main bus station. Lena was the perfect host, cooking a beautiful breakfast each morning, and full of great advice for Vilnius. Would definitely recommend.
In my experience (and it is quite extensive) this is an 'unsual' hostel. Lena works her socks off to make it work but somehow it doesn't have the laidback atmosphere you'd expect.
Friendly and cosy place with delicious breakfast.
Home made hostel is indead 'home made'. The host Lina transforms her home in a florishing Orchid garden, where the honeybees enjoy the sweetest nectar, and her breakfast is well prepared, that everybody can taste all her love in every bite.
possibly planet's best hostel. not really a hostel so much as a home/house away from home = a unique 12 bed boutique.
Quirky hostel, the host is extremely friendly and helpful but at times it felt that things were rushed as Lena is the only one running the place and therefore needed to be everywhere at once. One shower between 12 is not ideal but doable. On the whole an OK stay.
