Our train arrived later than expected, but we were greeted enthusiastically and then invited out for drinks and dancing with the lady who runs the hostel and a few of the other patrons. It was so nice to be greeted so warmly and then to be shown a local place immediately was really nice. Our entire stay was lovely, we were surrounded by friendly people and the hostel itself was clean and in a good location- walking distance to everything we wanted to do. We will definitely stay here again.

Second time here and everything was more than excellent again thanks to Lina! I feel like at my own flat there! I believe this hostel is my home address in my beloved Lietuva. Lina also invited me to have a breakfast and dinner but it was a pity that i had no time. Thank you Lina!

Very nice lady owner and very helpfull :-) We have a pleasant stay! Clean and cosy place. I do recommend.

Home Made House is a very quiet hostel located 5 minutes far from the bus station and 5 minutes far from the Town Hall Square. Wi-Fi signal is good, especially in the lower floor. There are two toilets serving all the guests, both of them not so big. Lina and Justina are very special girls, very helpful ones. They told me what to visit in Vilnius and also in Trakai. And also where to eat and have a beer.

Great place, homey feel, good location, clean, nice, the woman who owns it is extremely helpful and friendly, definitely would recommend it!

Wow, what can I say. Simply amazing hostess! Lina, you are truly the best. Simple, fun and clean hostel. Just the right size if you want to hang out with people, or if you just want to lay in your bunk and chill. When I am coming to Vilnius the next time, this is the place where I will stay!

This is a great place to stay when you're in Vilnius, very comfortable and good location. The owner is very helpful and friendly. She went out of her way to socialise and good me breakfast and make sure that I was happy, she did more than she had to do, but it was really nice of her.

Its a cozy hostel, easy to meet fellow traveller in the common area. Lena, the lady of the house really made all the difference. She very knowledgeable about her city. Where to ho, to eat, get a good vantage point if you love to take photos, where to explore. She even went with us to a vegetarian local resto that was really good. Be sure to stay here if uou are in vilnius. Its gonna be your home away from home. Thsnks lena

As good as hostels get.

I would highly recommend staying at Home Made House when visiting Vilnius. Lina was a welcoming and convivial host and hostel has relaxed and friendly vibe. It's an easy walk from the train station to HMH in the Old Town. The hostel made my trip to Lithuania very enjoyable. Would definitely stay again if I were to return to Vilnius.

Clean and comfortable. Staff are helpful and friendly. It is like visiting a friend's house. Staff are happy to have a chat with guests in the kitchen. It is not a cool party hostel. Quiet and homey.

A lovely place, ideally located between the main stations and old town. All the space, comforts and information you could want, nice decor and very comfy beds. The bathrooms were a little dirty/smelly but there's a nice hot shower. Wi-fi didn't seem to work upstairs but no problem in the common area. There were always friendly, chatty people around but also a fantastic relaxed atmosphere and it was nice and peaceful at night. I'd definitely want to stay there again!

A very friendly hostel, the staff were great and very helpful. Location is perfect, close enough to where you wanna be but set to one side so not much noise. The beds were very comfy, and much better than other hostels I have stayed in. I would have liked curtains to be able to block out the light in a morning, but that is just a small thing. All in all, thoroughly enjoyable stay, and would heartily recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Vilnius.

Our stay was the perfect blend of relaxing and social - its not a party party hostel but was good to chill in the kitchen and meet other travelers. A few went out the evening so everyone was up for a good time. The owner was amazing - always offering Lithuanian food and knowledge to ensure we got the most out of our stay in Vilnius. Will definitely stay here again if we come back.

Like everyone else who reviewed: this hostel is fantastic! You feel like you are staying as a guest in Lina's home. Lina is so sweet and really wants to make sure that everyone has a great time. She has great recommendations. If I go to Vilnius again, I'll come here - even if I have the choice of staying in a hotel! The hostel is also very clean. In the 6 bed dorm there is no door, so you can hear sounds from downstairs. If you are a light sleeper, stay in the 4 bed dorm or double room.

Loved this hostel it has a wonderful homely atmosphere with a great host. She is full of useful information local haunts to try and places to visit. She cares about the people who stay with her joining on nights out or opening a bottle of wine at the hostel. Lovely comfy beds and warm in the winter. No door on the dorm room bit odd but didn't bother us.
