Very nice small hostel. Staff is amazing. Morning breakfast is delicious. Close to the main station and city center. Free wifi. Highly recommended when visiting Vilnius.
Definitely the best hostel I ever stay. 12 guests is the maxima. It's a small hostel, but small makes every thing better. I feel like at home, Renata take care everyone and everything. I really have a great time in here.
One of my favourite hostels! The host was super nice and friendly! Great atmosphere. Small and warm hostel so travelers can easily chat with each others. Tasty breakfast as well ;)
I really enjoyed my stay here. While I was there Renata was the only staff member running the hostel, but she made the stay special by going to lots of effort to bring the guests together. She would arrange dinner out, talk with all the guests and drink with us in the evening!.
The hostel is for 12 people max. There are 2 toilets and one shower, i think its enough, never had a problem. Theres only one staff, a wonderful person who runs around for everything, and she is damn good at her job. Definitely recommend you this hostel.
Very good breakfast and nice staff! Excellent hostel!
Renata was a great host, prepared jummy breakfast, gave us extensive advice and even took us to a bar at night. Sadly, the internet connection was very poor and there is only one shower for 12 people.
This hostel is a house tailored for visitors. The facilities are very good, just what you need for a place to sleep. The host Lina is incredibly kind and friendly and she prepared breakfast every morning. She also gave everyone wine to taste and gave us really good recommendations for eating and going out.
The hostel is nice and cozy, the staff really cares for you and will help you have a good time in Vilnius. It takes some getting used to that the dorm is basically a floor to itself (no door) but when looking at the house/hostel itself it makes sense. Would stay there again any time. Thanks for a great couple of days in Vilnius!
really nice hostel with a familiar and "home-made" atmosphere. it is really great that the staff (there is only one woman and she does all the work) offers free and jummy breakfast. she also goes out for a beer or will help you with everything you need. only one shower and two bathrooms, sleeping room is separated thru separater from the stairs which makes it a little loud as people walk past it. but this all makes the at home atmosphere.
Lina is AWESOME!! She really makes you feel at home and provides great advice about Vilnius.
best hostel in lithuania for very good reasons, truly like a family
I absolutely loved my stay at Home Made House! As it's quite small, you get to meet everyone and it has a really social feel. Having breakfast together was great for this too - and it was always home-cooked and delicious. The owner makes you feel so welcome and helps you explore the city. The only downside is that wifi didn't reach to the rooms, but it was nice to hang out in the kitchen with everyone. Would definitely recommend for solo travellers.
Nice and cozy hostel with great location. Really felt like you were staying in a proper home rather than a hostel. Toilets and kitchen were always clean and the fact that there was only one shower didn´t cause any problems. Special thanks to lovely Renate who gave us so many great tips on places to visit! We loved that she recommended places that she liked herself. Made us visit places tourists normally wouldn´t find. Keep up the good work =)
Had a wonderful stay, felt like being at home. All guests felt the same so made dinner at night warm and sociable. Special thanks to Renata, you made it so much better :)
This is weird one, its litterally a house with 12 bunks which has been opened as a hostel but is a sucess purely through the sheer will of the owner / host who is absolutely fantastic. She got everyone involved organised evening activies including inviting us to a barbeque and going to an open air cinema around the corner.
Believe the reviews! Lina is a wonderful hostess and Home Made House is exactly as it sounds in the title. A small hostel with only 12 beds, this place felt more like a family home than a hostel. Lina cooked a delicious free breakfast each morning, and greeted us all with city maps and a ton of suggestions of things to see and do. She even invited us all to join in a BBQ with her friends and neighbours. Despite only one shower and hot weather, loved this place. Highly recommended!
We arrived late to Home Made House and was made feel welcomed on arrival. We stayed in a double bed private shared bathroom comfortable clean room with a view. Stayed in hostel for 3 nights and there was great interaction with fellow travellers. Lina cooked an enjoyable breakfast and she shared tips with us what to do and see in Vilnius - she even recommended to us a great restaurant! The atmosphere in this hostel felt like home from home. Thanks
The hostel is as the name suggests, very homely, having 12 beds and a very welcoming and helpful owner, who is a backpacker herself, so knows what is important. It ticks all the boxes. Thanks for a lovely stay Lena.
The cozy atmosphere the hostel claims to be its highlight is not really so. It's not very clean - the fridge had a very bad smell and products passed the expiration date left by old guests -, the bedroom had no curtains, so you wake up at 4:30 with the sun burning your face - really! - and there's only 1 bathroom for 12 people (maybe if it was cleaner it would be ok). The host helped us with very good tips from the city but it didn't feel very safe since there isn't always someone in the hostel.
