Like most of the other reviews, mine will form a similar path. The owner of the hostel couldn't be anymore hospitable or friendly; the services of the hostel were explained upon arrival, all sightseeing points of interest were pointed out on a map we received and we were invited out for a drink with her some of the evenings to local bars. I would not hesitate recommending this hostel to anyone. I will be back again.

Probably best hostel in Vilnius

This was truly a "homely" experience!!! The moment you step in, you are received by a warm welcome. The structure of the hostel is no different from a house, with sort of an 'open-plan' dormitory area, making it feel like an open, barrier-less place. The hostel owner is a superstar. Not only was she kind and generous with her time and suggestions, but she respects privacy while also inviting people travelling alone to experience local food and wine. The location couldnt be better either!!

From the first moment I felt like staying in a friend's house. Thanks to Lina the owner and her excellent advice I had a wonderful stay in the city.

This is not a hostel! This is just a sweet home like your best friends' or one close relative's! I just had 3 wonderful days in Vilnius and Lina's great help made my stay excellent! The hostel is extremely clean and the location is perfect, so I could have my nocturnal walks every midnight at Old Town square. 5 min. to reach there. In the heart of city. I can never forget the night we played a game like teenagers together with Lina, the Japanese doc Tomo and Belarussian lady Dascha. Aciu Lina!

This was one of the best hostel we have stayed at. First of all the location, comfortable bed and security of the place is top notch! But what our stay made more special was our host Lina. Her recommendations for places to eat, drink and where to go was spot on. Home made house felt more of a B & B than a hostel it was very homely and warm. I would strongly recommend to stay here to anyone and if I am back in Vilnius I surely would go back and stay! Thank you for your hospitality!

Home Made House is in a great location near the rail & bus stations, and the old town. Nothing is far away, some great little bars & restaurants are nearby too. Lina who runs the hostel goes out of her way to make sure you have everything you need, and make sure you're comfortable. The rooms are clean and with comfortable bedding. There was never a queue for the shower despite the hostel being full. Really friendly! Recommended!

Overall, a good place - we were very happy with the hostel, the location, and Leila. I think the only issue was the toilet fan and shower fan being broken. Will definitely recommend to my friends!

A really awesome cozy little hostel. With the hostess Lina's hospitability it felt more than a hostel. We stayed there over christmas, so on christmas eve Lina cooked a traditional lithuanian christmas dinner for us, and on christmas day all the guests cooked something for a common dinner, it was really nice! On the last day she made us breakfast pancakes :) It was definitely the best hostel experience ever!

Small hostel close to the old town and train station (about halfway in between). Very friendly host who gave us plenty of tips on what to do, where to go and what to eat! Comfortable rooms and beds, a bit tricky to find in the first instance but location is perfect for exploring.

Lena makes a fantastic hostess ensuring that everyone has the chance to meet others. Great location, close to bus, train and in the old town. Small cosy and friendly hostel. Only downside may be the sole bathroom when the hostel is full.

Brilliant hostel! The owner, Lina, is very friendly and helpful and really made us feel welcome. We will be sure to be back in the Summer!

we stayed in the Home Made Hostel for a weekend and it was such a great place with a great location. it is a very small hostel fitting a bit more than 10 guests at the time, so it feels cozy, quiet(during the nights), I would say " a bit like home". Beds were comfortable and the bathroom clean. Definately a good place to stay.
