I was VERY dissappointed when a staff member told me \'I was lucky to still have a booking with them\'. This occured because I did not show up one of the nights I had booked, despite being told I would be charged the full amount for the room if I gave less than 24hrs notice and would not be refunded any booking fees (good money earner). The \'telling off\' felt like they thought they were talking to a child. If there is a chance the hostel may cancel a booking they should let us know before we b...MoreI was VERY dissappointed when a staff member told me \'I was lucky to still have a booking with them\'. I'm sure some people would like this type of place, but for me it was way too noisy and uncomfortable. Couldn't sleep at all. Facilities were poor, iron in room had goo on it (and no ironing board). Could have stayed in a hotel for a similar price, so probably will next time.I'm sure some people would like this type of place, but for me it was way too noisy and uncomfortable. One bathroom between eight with no separate mirror or toilet wasn't fantastic. The towels we got were pretty old and dirty looking. Not the best place if you're a non-backpacker. need to have rooms more set for sharing. It can as easy as hvaing a mirror outside of the bathroom so more than one person get get ready at a time. Its not easy sharing a room with 5 others and then everyone takes a shower and we are forced to use the reflection in the tv to do our hair and make-up. other wise the staff were great and beds were really comfortableneed to have rooms more set for sharing.
