The hostel needs to be cleaned up A.S.A.P. The kitchen is disgraceful and filthy with the dirt, the room wasnt cleaned once in a full week and for the value of $700, we expected a lot lot more. We had to ask for towels and toilet roll all week. We will NEVER EVER stay there again!! and we esp will not recommend this place to anyone!! They need to rip out that kitchen and lounge area, paint the whole building inside and out and have better rules and organisation for the place.

dirty and chaotic party hostel

for me one of the best places to stay in Melbourne. best location

the location is great, a bit out of city centre, still easy to get here and quite fast though, heeps of public transport moving through this place.Theres a whole lot of stuff goin on in this area so you wont get bored or anything. The hostel itself is a really nice place to be.But dont expect like Plaza or Ritz but if u a backpacker u gonna like it 4sure!the staff is friendly and nice, willing to help u out and guests r good&friendly.U gonna have a good time if u not a snob,or ifUr:)comeANDsee!!

Our overall impression of the hostel was very poor. There is too much to mention in this review. The main points are that the regulars were too settled and drank all through the night every night, the only toilets are in the rooms so we had drunk guests coming in all through the night. Its not like we dont want to have a good time ourselves but after coming back from tours you just want to sleep, and its every day of the week. Also the cleanliness was shocking.

Best hostel that i have stayed in oz. The staff are first class, very friendly and helpfull. The rooms are nice a spacious and also very clean with lockable draws under the bed wich is great if you have valuables. The kitchen is well equiped and clean and even has a oven. The bathroom facilities are very good and also very clean. Very good value for money including free wifi wich usually cost $4 dolloars a hour everywere else. would defo come back and recomend anyone to stay here. Loved it.

The kitchen was terrible, I the pillow on my bed was a very brown colour and the bed sheets were not cleaned properly when I asked for a new pillow the staff member who exchanged it me a flippant comment about paying top dollar for the room. I assumed he was joking, nut it's not something you want to hear when cleandlyness is involve. The hostel does have a good friendly atmostsphere. Good for a party but not somewhere you can sleep.

Great hostel with an awesome atmosphere! The staff is really helpful and everyone gets along really well. No problems with the kitchen or other facilities and everyone is always making meals together making for a great community feel. Started off booked for 2 weeks but I'm extending my stay! Fun people and a fun location.

Went to stay at Home for 4 days with my mam as she was here to visit me and we had a great time there at Home, everyone was such fun and staff were great, i would defo go back again and if you want a fun place to stay then i recommend Home Travellers Motel :)

Employees are fantastic.

Very relaxing atmosphere, the staff are very helpful and cheerful, always with a smile on their faces! Perfect location and facilities, will definitely stay again and recommend to everyone I meet traveling to Melbourne :)

Lots of great people but the place lacked information about events in the area & the facilities were limited.

The hostel had a great vibe with amazing people all just looking to have a good time. It was a great place to start off my stint in Australia. The facilities, though, were another story. The bathroom sink broke in my room and was clogged for days before anyone tried to fix it. Also, my room was stifflingly hot and a fan was put in on the 3rd day of a 35 degree heat wave. The hostel wasn't that helpful in guiding me towards stuff to see, but I managed to find it on my own.

The wifi is not free. Rooms were messy and dirty, and the bathrooms were not cleaned as signs said they would be every Tuesday. Day staff was very helpful and friendly. Lots of noise at night (party atmosphere). Location is not in main Melbourne but very easy to get to places from the trams.

Staff at the hostel are friendly and always willing to help you out, they also cook nice food!! The hostel is close to the beach and town centre with all the bars and clubs and everything you need. I was only meant to stay here a couple of weeks but I seem to be a permanent resident here now! just cant leave!

It's a really nice and friendly Hostel, it's easy to get in contact with other people! It's near to the beach, to shops and there are alot of Restaurants and Bars nearby.

My stay here was perfect! So much I couldnt decide to leave before 3 weeks... Atmosphere was really great, and so was the staff, kind and helpful. Private bathrooms in each room were amazing, you just feel like at home! And despite previous comments cleanliness was really ok IMO, even good. Ive seen waaaaay worst in the previous hostels I've been to. Another good point: the large common area which made it easy to meet people. Lots of fun, big time! Would definitely stay again.

this place had the dirtiest kitchen i have ever seen!and the whole place just seemed to have no atmosphere or anything going on!good location though and comfy beds!
