I've stayed at a lot of hostels and this was possibly the most friendly and helpful hostel I've ever been to. The staff had great recommendations of places to go and things to see, and the owner was so kind. Mark even took us out to see some of the ruin pubs and other places and had great recommendations for things I would have never otherwise found. The staff went out of their way to help us with anything we needed, I can't recommend this hostel highly enough.

Homeplus hostel made my whole trip to Budapest! The place is laid back, with funny wonderful staff and cozy colourful rooms. Andrew is just fantastic! He takes the time to tell you absolutely everything you need to know about budapest and is just a wonderfully interesting character to be around. I had a ton of fun with Mark who took a bunch of us hostel-ers out and showed us the Budapest nightlife and locals! (and more importantly where the cheapest drinks were!) Just a wonderful hostel!

Best hostel I've ever stayed at! Staff (Andrew and Mark) went above and beyond to acclimate us to Budapest, take us out, give advice, offer info on public transit, what to do, etc

In my life I have been to many hostels. I went to this one as it was recommended by a friend of mine. Never in my life I met such a friendly staff. He (the owner) would actually spend more than half an hour with every guest telling him/her all sorts of information he/she would be interested in. He remembers your name and talkd to you as a friend about any topic. IF YOU COME TO BUDAPEST, STAY AT THIS HOSTEL.

I could not have asked for a better stay. The staff was not only highly knowledgeable about all aspects of this amazing city, but were eager to share that knowledge and answer any questions their guests might have. The owner will go over the map with you so that you never feel lost once you venture out & Mark's penchant for Budapest nightlife ensures you will never have a dull moment! Great for those familiar with the city & for first-time travelers as well. Highly recommended!

My stay was amazing. Andrew and the staff took the time to show me everything I could want to do, and I felt the environment was very friendly. The location is maybe the perfect place in Budapest, and everything was extremely easy to get to. I highly recommend this hostel, it was definitely one of the most enjoyable on my trip.

This is a really excellent small to mid size Hostel - Absolutely. Its great anyway, but the staff are what really makes it outstanding. They were constantly and unfailingly helpful and made us feel welcome, answering any questions they could. Other pluses include keycode access, free WiFi/computer, no bunk beds, and heaps of other stuff.

This hostel is great, Andrew is amazing and so helpful. He is full of suggestions of places to see, eat and go out. The location is ideal just by the tram and the bridge over to Buda. Loved the hostel, plenty of people to talk to and do stuff with. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at the Homeplus Hostel. Andrew, the host, is very helpful and makes you feel at home. The location is perfect because it's very close to all the beautiful buildings and musea. There's a tram really close to the building which is convenient. The hostel is small but cosy and clean. We would like to thank Andrew for his lovely hostel and care for his guests! Greetings from Belgium

The place is great and the location couldn't be better, the Street is s little noisy but you can easily get to the most popular places in Budapest and metro stations. The neighbourhood is very safe, in fact, the whole city, and there is a place to exchange your money to forints just around the corner, and a really good Hungarian restaurant one block ahead. Andrew's attentions make you feel home, he is an amazing person and gives great ideas of places to go and things to do. Good place to stay.

Good hostel. We only stayed for one night and it was all we needed for one night. The owner of the hostel was lovely, showed us loads of places to go and we had a nice big room. It was difficult to get ready in the morning though as there were no mirrors that I could find, let alone a power socket near a mirror! My locker was not so secure as it was pretty much broken, but as we were there one night it didnt matter. Was cosy and would recommend
