I feel there should be more cooking facility, especially for vegetarians self cooking is the only option. They have only microwave. thouhg I was given rice by the person in charge. In this trip I stayed in many youth hostels in Korea where coffe and tea were plenty free of charge. I could not relish the food outside.

Considering the very good location, and the attractive price (i paid HKD99 per bed per night), also it is in Hong Kong, i will definitely back again.

Very good location. The female dorm was ok, although the bathroom was disgusting, and men used it. No internet in the room, although t the same storey as the wifi box, even in the commons the wifi was not enough to allow everyone to go online. The kitchen is a joke, very poor accomodation and you wash dishes with shower gel. Sam says he will help you with anything, but ask him to print one single page with his printer because the common one doesn't work, you can always dream on.

There isn't any common space as all the rooms are separated in different apartments. The staff was helpful though and the location is very ideal, only 30 minute walk straight into Central

Nice part of causeway bay but subway can work out expensive because of location if crossing over to the other side of hong kong alot. Personally I prefer mongkok as a location to stay but this hostel was cheap for hong kong and did the job. Would stay there again. Common area friendly and I actually thought room size was adequate given that it's hong kong

It was great although a little hard to find. There was no sign on the building telling us where it was or which floor so that was a little tricky. Once you find out it's on the 3rd floor it's all happy days from there! Def recommend it, great clean rooms and amazing location!!

I booked and stayed in a 3 male room ensuite bathroom, provided with a flat screen TV !,.,Sam at the reception was nice, everything was so near with cheap good food and near to MTR. Bus directly from the airport cost HKD 40 (4 Euros). Common room was nice where I met new people like Mathias from Germany, Larissa from Brazil, Rabiah from Pakistan and Michell from Australia ,.we can smoke and drink there. So relax to stay in Hong Kong Inn !

What an awful hostel!!! There's no security in the rooms as you can't lock the door. I asked the staff about how could I lock it and they just told me that it wasn't possible. When I arrived I had to pay a deposit for a key that I couldn't use as it is totally useless. Rooms are opened all the day. Beware of thieves! In addition, rooms are small and dirty. I won't go back.

To all of those nz/oz travelers, if you would like to improve your resilience then look no further than hong kong inn. This hostel was poor in most domains with the exception of location. My partner and I have travelled extensively around the world including Russia, Africa, Europe and the US, and this hostel represents close to the worst value. It was noisy (staff constructing bunks at midnight, wtf), room length too small for 6" guy to sleep, diagonal required, smelled, etc. Pay more for other.

A normal backpackers place with no frills. Although the lounge room is filled with other travellers from different countries that you could meet. Internet only works in the lounge room and not the rooms itself. Its pretty decent and not so noisy.

Location is spot on. Near the MTR and airport bus terminal. You can also have your early morning run at the Victoria Park which is just across the street. Stayed there for five nights, staff is nice but they almost put me to the six-room female dorm when I booked the four-room dorm. Just be firm. Also, TV was not working in the room although the guy in the reception said he'll send someone to fix it.

overall the hostel was very recommendable,,especially of the owner/manager Mr.Sam, who was so kind and very accomodating and obviousness to assist guests...but some of the staff, especially the ones cleaning the room were very impolite, rude sometimes,,,i suggest to hire preferably more english speaking staff because its very important for effective communication which will eventually boost the Hong Kong Inn's good reputation among tourists and guests!

Excellent location, 1 min walk to the station. We had a triple room, which was a decent size for hong kong. Hot water in the shower was temperamental and there was no shower head holder but clean bathroom. Common room was quite busy and easy to meet people.

I booked and PAID for 4-bed mixed dorm. Was placed in 8-bed mixed dorm. No notice, no apologies, no anything.

I really liked this hostel. The rooms are a little small but clean and I felt safe with leaving my valuables. There's unfortunately no kitchen and the toilet isn't one of the best I've seen, but still I like the hostel compared to what I expected from Hong Kong.

Good value for money and for HK. Located in the right center of Causeway Bay, near shopping malls and transport facilities (subway, bus, taxi...). Supermarket/McDo/StarBucks... and many food shops just down the hostel. Very nice to have a common room, easy to meet people, good atmosphere. Dorms are OK for the price, it's as if you were sharing a flat with others people (3 rooms and 2 bathrooms per flat). Very funny concept !! Staff is nice and helpful. Definitely recommend this hostel in HK.
