We loved staying there and hope to be back in the near future. Hongdae Guesthouse has the perfect location! The staff were all awesome and really helpful! And Mary makes you feel right at home and she can provide you with lots of insight and ideas of what to see! You guys rock!We loved staying there and hope to be back in the near future. This was one of the best places I have stayed. Mary and her staff go all out to ensure that your stay is enjoyable (even typing out little slips stating I was vegetarian, which I could hand out at restaurants). I will always stay at Mary's whenever I am in Seoul.This was one of the best places I have stayed. Not a bad stay - particularly for the price. Owner (Mary) was friendly and quite helpful, whilst the actual place was nothing special for a Hostel (as expected).
Only gripe was their was a bad smell in the room (could be because of other guests or the fact you cant flush TP down the toilet and their is a bin to toss it in which I thought was a bit gross) and also my room had no blinds so I was almost certainly woken up as the sun rises.

Ive been here before so that should tell you something. I stayed in the dorm which has a PC and wifi. Its located in the centre of Hongdae which is the best nightlife area in Seoul. Although it doesnt affect my judgement, I slept in the same dorm as the noisiest snorer I ever heard. I had to wake him up to stop his imitation of a bull slowly being killed.Ive been here before so that should tell you something. I stayed in the dorm which has a PC and wifi. the host/owner Mary and staff were extremely helpful and attentive to my needs. south koreans are well known apparently for their cleanliness and this hostel is by far the cleanliest of all hostels i\'ve stayed comparing to other countries. They clean the room everyday including the bathroom and toilet.
