Great location, very close to subway and direct train to airport. Lots of things to see, shop and eat. Helpful staff, great thank to Abby and Ken! Very clean and good facilities. Best breakfast for hostel standard. I would like to go back again and confident to recommend to friends.

It was a good hostel, though a little hard to find and quite noisy. Everything else was nice and the district was brilliant.

Location is convenient, however, it is placed in an alley that may be easily missed. Staffs, Abby&Ken, were amazingly accommodating & nice! Their heated floor system is great for the winter & I got sick while being in Korea due to going in&out of the cold&warmness in buildings. Abby was hospitable on checking in on me & I truly appreciate it. Facilities are modern & they have coded security. Breakfast complimentary in the mornings. I wish the lounging area was bigger& dorms more space!

Everything about this love was great. I only stayed 1 night, but was very pleased and would stay again! Best thing was the staff, the location and just the general value for money! Would definetly recommend a friend.

Very good location - close to subway. Lots of places to drink and eat. Really enjoyed our stay.

Since I had friends staying in another room in the hostel it was pretty easy to tell that the door code was simply adjusted by two digits for each floor and which room on the floor the door leads into. It would be pretty easy for someone to get into someone else's room if they wanted to!

This hostel was very nice! Felt like we were staying in a hotel as every room has its own private restroom, TV, fridge, and lockers! The floors were also heated which is great during the very cold and snowy winter. The breakfast was nice; you could cook your own eggs and make toast with tea, coffee, juice on the side and cereal as well. The staff were very friendly and welcoming! Receptive of our questions and very accommodating if you have to check in late, etc. The area was superb as well!

the location is just 1-2 minutes from the subway, the neighborhood is cool, the staff super friendly, nice breakfast. it is not in the city center but closer to the airport which worked better for me. I'd definitely recommend ! I slept well...will come again. david

Really great location - super quiet, but only 5mins walk from the bustling centre of Hongdae, plus really easy to get to/from the airport. Hostel itself is spotlessly clean and nice, staff super friendly and helpful. No lockers for valuables in rooms, and my bed didn't have a plug socket next to it were the only downsides. Would definitely recommend this place and stay here again.

The place is located in a very quiet area at a 5 minutes walk from the Hongik Univ. Station of the subway number 2 where the airport railway also stops. So as soon as you get to the airport go for your luggage follow the arrows that lead you to the railway station, use the vending machine (you can chose English to make the purchase) and follow the instructions it's very straightforward. The train ride it lasts around 45 minutes, You can visit every place of interest in Seoul by subway.

The staff were so friendly and helpful! Great location for eating drinking and shopping, and very easy to get to from the airport. My only complaint is that bathrooms are en-suite, and have the type of showers that aren't separate from the rest of the bathroom, so things can get a bit messy in the morning and at night.

Pencil Mini is in a great location near the subway with train link to the airport. The area is good, being close to a university. The hotel is squeaky clean with a creative decor. The social ambience is really good with the breakfast/coffee area at the entrance, with a long table which means guests sit with and get to know each other. The staff are helpful and relational. The manager, Abby, graciously waited for our late arrival, and helped us find a church to attend. You should stay at Pencil !

Excellent hostel all around. But this is more for Asian families and it's hard to talk to them, even beyond the language barrier. But the place was very nice, clean, breakfast was pretty good, good place to chill and enjoy Seoul. The owner and the staff were fantastic!

Definitely this is the best hostel that I stayed in South Korea. Wi-fi signal in everywhere, comfortable beds and an awesome, really awesome breakfast! The Hostel is just a few steps from a convenience store and the subway station. The staff (Ken) is friendly and prepared to help you with everything you need! The washroom is a little bit small, but it's normal in South Korea, I guess. I'm looking forward to go to Seoul again and meet my friends again! My stay in Hongdae Pencil was memorable!

Incredibly convenient location near a metro station, directly connected to the airport, and plenty of food, shopping, & nightlife options in Hongdae. Not as close to major tourist stops, but easy to reach via the metro. Rooms were clean & secure, wifi fast, and staff incredibly friendly - Ken took great care of all of us staying there, and it was easy to meet other solo travelers. Plus, free eggs, toast, & cereal for breakfast. Only downsides were mattress a bit hard, & some mosquitoes.

This place is amazing, so well located close to Hongik ! there are so many nice places around, or even just in front the hostel, some charming café !!! the building is so clean, beds very comfy, rooftop with an amazing view on the city, they provide breakfast which is quite rare now ! But most important, the staff is amazing. They all make your stay special, you feel as a guest and of course I cannot finish this com without writing about Ken, an adorable man with a big heart ! he is the vibe
