Excellent and friendly customer service from Candy and Kuyuki.
Clean, friendly staff, comfortable bed. Disappointed there wasn't a communal area, would have liked to meet other travellers. A bit of noise from the other rooms. No English channels on TV. Overall good!
If you don't mind small spaces, this is a great jumping off point in the middle of Kowloon! TOTALLY gonna come back whenever I need to stay in HK.
My only problem was that the doors were a bit hard to open due to the locks used. Other than that, it was a very good stay. I will try to stay in their other branch to compare next time.
We stayed for 5 nights in this hostel on the Kowloon peninsula in the tiniest room and I think we got one of the better ones because we had a window. The A/C is very noisy doubled with the construction work next door - bring earplugs! We got used to the room size and enjoyed the cleaniness! The location is great, very close to major museums and other attractions and getting to HK takes 2 metro stops or a quick ride on the Star Ferry.
Hop inn Hongkong is awesome!!! I really want to come back soon.
Pros: - Friendly and helpful staff on 24h counter duty -Cosy atmosphere with customised decoration for every room -Location is great - near malls, street shops and MTR station -TV in room Cons: - erratic water heater (we stayed in room 1) with either extremely hot or cold temperatures - air con was extremely cold with insensitive temp controls
