After having so many problems next door at smugglers with them losing bookings and charging a lot for paying at the desk, me and my girlfriend went to horizon which had cheaper food and beer, rooms, more friendly competent staff and the added bonus that you can use all the facilities at smugglers anyway as they are sister hotels. I would recomend here over smugglers anytime so friendly and helpful! Book hostels online as they are more expensive to pay them direct, silly i know but that how it is

Stop pushing bag backers to take the overpriced taxi rides done by your family member. I paid 20FJD from Port Dravuni to your place and with you it was 25FJD. Thanks for your advise getting mosquito repellent ASAP. I think all hostels around this area are not honest with their guests in regards of airport transfer. The way they advertise it like STA Travel Germany it says free airport transfer which means both ways. Once at your place you rename it saying airport pick up only and ask for 12-15FJ

The stay at Horizon was a very good value for the money. We stayed in privat ensuite for 25 fiji dollars per person, plus we had acces to use all the facilities at Smugglers Cove (sister resort) just across the road which was much more modern and having atmosphere with many more travellers around to meet and great activities with Tofu each day - learning how to open coconut, making jewelery from coconuts and shells, weaving with palm leaves, fiji language lesson :D....and all that for free.

At arrival they couldn't find my booking - treatment from the girl in reception was poor and not very nice. Strange answers (instead of straight answers) to my questions. They=she didn't seem very professional at all. Breakfast was the worst ever - just toast, butter, marmelade and tea (not even juice/water). Booked a taxi to the airport early in the morning- it didnt show up on time. I did however doublecheck and got confirmation of the booking before going to bed..

for 10$ a dorm, you can't find better deals in fiji. You can use all smugglers cove facility, still wailoaloa is not nice and i would recommend stay there only if you have a late arrival or early flight

Staff very unfriendly. Old ugly rooms! Go stay at Sugglers cove it's much better facilities

This budget hostel is handy for recuperating after a long flight in or a long one out. They offer airport pickup service - but not dropoff. A taxi from here to the airport cost about $14. Free luggage storage but a bit of a ghost town feel. AVOID THE BREAKFAST AT ALL COSTS. The birds eat the same bread you do. Overall, I would recommend this place just for the friendliness of the staff; we got stuck here and by the time we left we were friends with almost all of them.

There were no locks on our room (dorm) and it was close to the main entrance, if the door was open everyone could see into our room. There was NO hot water even though it was advertised. Other than that, no complaints. Bed was comfortable and breakfast was simple but nice. Great to have access to Smugglers Cove next door as well. For us it was just a one night stop over so it served its purpose.
