The oher reputation is a fake! Horus is a very budget hotel! No towel, no toilet paper. Reservation was not found on arrival, price (LE 52,-) to high for very low quality. The hotel has a great location and although the view from the roof terrace originally attracted me I only ventured up once as the view from my room was stunning! I had a small balcony with french style shutters and door. There are also good/affordable restaurants across the road on the riverside. The staff are excellent, very helpful and lack all of the usual hassle in Egypt for tours/baksheesh. Ahmed organised 2 tours for me.
