This is the worst hostal Ive ever seen, was so ditry and old. It had holes in the walls and ceiling, dread to think what mighthave emmerged from there. Like the other reviews said, the shower was over the toilet in a bathroom with no door. We walked in the room and within 5minutes we left. It was better to lose our deposit than stay here. When we arrived all the staff seemed genuinely shocked we had a reservation and we were guests. Unless your standards are very low, do not stay here.

A very friendly and simple place to rest. Very good prices if you need to hae room of your own and not to fussy. Manager is very nice and really helpful. Good vibes all round.

It was a great place with a good vibe. Sure, it is very hot since there is no air-con, but the atmosphere more than makes up for it. You do need to like the hippie feel, and expect a basic room (good bed) with the bathroom inside the room and the shower above the toilet. Makes it quite practical ;-), but well worth for the price you pay.

We were there twice - owners are in Europe, the 'new' staff does everything to feel you like home! They offer home made iced tea and food for fair prices! The hammocks are nice - we had a double room with a ventilator, which is great, temperatures get very high! Close to mercado and promenade - room is basic but for a fair price, too! We enjoyed our stay here - thank you again for your stories and making us feel like home! We did! Take care and enjoy your travels and hiking and biking!

we had a private double room with bathroom ensuite, but whenever you showered you had to stand almost in the toilet to have all the water reaching you. Consequently, everything got wet when you showered. There wasn't much atmosphere but the staff was friendly.
