We loved our one night at Hospedaje Lautaro and were sad that they were booked for the other nights that we were in El Calafate. Belen was a gem! We arrived with an idea of what we wanted to do and within 30 minutes of our arrival we had 2 days of activities planned out. She recommended another hostel to stay in and since we were leaving early for an excursion, offered to drop off our backpacks so they would be waiting for us when we got to the new place in the afternoon. How nice!

Rooms are clean and correct. Staff is really friendly and helps a lot about visits and travel organizations. Dinner is really nice as well. I definitely recommend the place.

Lautaro was amazing and nearly bent over backwards to be helpful and friendly. I really appreciated the little things like accommodate for my early morning tour as they set out some breakfast for me so that I could have something to eat before I left. They always greeted me with a smile no matter what hour of the day/night or what I needed. The quality of the rooms in the main building are MUCH better than the dorm section (holey mattresses, finicky locks) and I'm glad I changed buildings.

The hostel and location is great, but the owners Belen and Dario makes it excellent! They are so helpful, and Dario makes delicious food. We felt very welcome and would love to come back,

This hostel was very clean and tidy and the staff made us feel like we were instantly welcomed into their home. The breakfast was the best we had in Argentina and they do very good evening meals as well. There are no computers available but they do have Wi Fi and I guess as everyone now has smart phones etc that is not really an issue.

Perfect hostel ! Im usually dubious when people say the owners were friendly, but i cannot stress how welcoming helpful and genuine they all were , espeasially Belen. brilliant breakfast, organised buses and tours for us after advising on best options for our time scale , easy position straight off main high street but still quite at night, food smelt lovely and heard great reviews but didnt eat as we were too unorganised to place our order early enough, thanks for a lovely stay x

the familiy run the place is very wellcoming, warm and great! this is deffinitely the best part of the stay. breakfast is excellent and they will adjust it to your needs (kids/alergies/etc)!!! but the facilities are pretty basic and even poor to some extent. twin room is actually dorm bunk, not with too comfy mattresses, quite disappointing for the money charged.

We were warmly greeted, by name, outside the front door the moment we arrived. We'd had a difficult day of travel and felt like we were arriving "home". When I mentioned I couldn't eat gluten our host immediately phoned my tour for the next morning and changed my meal. She treated me with such consideration and respect it felt wonderful. When I asked for an egg the next morning for breakfast again I felt responded to with such embrace. My husband loved the brown bread. English freely spoken.

This is an enjoyable place, with very nice and clean rooms. No kitchen facilities though, jfyi. Gabriela (the owner?) is a fantastic host who deserves all merits! Make sure you go to have dinner at the restaurant she also works at, forgot the name. There, I had one of the best dinners in 3 months Argentina!

The hostel is well located, just 1 block from the main street. The facility itself was a bit on the older side. Everything works but the bathroom could use a facelift. The water pressure was low every night but the host told me that the entire area was experiencing low water pressure. Not sure. Internet was decent. Having said that, the host Belin was super friendly which was great. I like how she took the time to walk you to the door or personally bring you breakfast each morning!
