This was a homestay with a family outside of the city (still well within walking distance). We had a private kitchen and bathroom for the price of a regular hostel. The son of the owner runs day tours around Puerto Montt, Puerto Natales, and the surrounding areas for about c/$ 8,000. This was a great, clean place to stay, but just keep in mind that you're with a family.
