We think this hostel was the best of our trip. This is clean, a staff is prepareted and shiny!! We stay in a double room. They're willing to help us always, the breakfast is good, and they cleaning the rooms if you authorize. They send us an email , confirming our reserves and guide us how to reach the hostel. We went to Machu Picchu and leave our bags there, all very safe and organized, the environment and great. recommend! Really, really good!

The beds were some of the best we've had in South America. The staff are very friendly and willing to help you with whatever you need. One thing, although all the privates have their own bathroom and most have ensuites, ours was across the hall (because of building requirements).

This is a nice hostel to stay in Cusco. It's not very close do the main square (but not far, 15 min walking), but personel are extremely nice, the owner is always there to give you tips, it is pretty clean, the breakfast is GREAT! Excelent relation cost/benefit. I recommend. All the best, Thiago

Very nice hostel with a very familiar atmosphere, all people are very kind and serve well. Facilities are very good for the price, they also count with shared places to watch movies, play table games. Highly recommended

This hostel is great! Frendly staff who can not do enough to help and very clean comfortable rooms. We stayed in a double and twin room and both were very good. For value for money it must be one of th best in Cusco.

My sister, father and I had a really good stay at Hostel Recoleta. The english'-speaking hostel staff were really friendly and attentive, and provided excellent 24 hour customer service. The hostel owner even got my sister´s broken Merrell shoe fixed within a day! The rooms are tidy, comfortable and spacious and the bathrooms are clean with adequate hot water. The location is away, but not too far, from the main square and touristy areas, so take advantage of local shop and restaurant prices.

Recoleta is a home away from home. They have internet access (via computer/WiFi), hot water, great breakfasts (e.g. pancakes, homemade hot chocolate), and a congenial and attentive staff. It\'s about a 15 minute walk east of the main plaza, but the distance just adds to its homey environment. The neighborhood is safe and offers a mercado, mini-tiendas, and economical restaurants. This is one of the best hostels we\'ve stayed at in South America!

This hostel tops my list of Peruvian hostels. Go there if you want a comfortable, friendly, honest, well-run family hostel whose management and staff all seem to really enjoy their guests-not just to view us as a source of money. There is a kitchen for cooking your own meals, a game room, and a huge stack of DVDs for taking a break from tours. The owner-manager went above and beyond for me, accompanying me downtown to help me with problems with my camera. My roommates reported the same service.

The family-owned Hospedaje Turistico Recoleta is the best hostel I\'ve stayed at in Peru. There are many staff, so there is always someone at the front desk, they make the beds every day, and keep the hostel spotless (no machismo mentality-this is not my work because I\'m a man) here. They all speak some English, seem genuinely happy to be working there, and are honest. The manager is onsite for several hours a day, and like the staff, goes out of his way to help guests. Guests feel valued.

Spent 2 nights before and 2 nights after our Inca Trail trek at this hostel and enjoyed our stay. The hostel is located just outside of the main touristy area which we enjoyed and was still within a short walk of the San Blas area. The staff were quite helpful with helping us to find our way around town. We had a number of problems with our flight to Cusco and arranging our Inca Trail trek and the hostel was very accomodating and flexible with our changing itinerary which was greatly appreciated. I would st

The staff were very accommodating and helped my friend and I get a private room for the days we were staying there. They were incredibly friendly and made us feel at home. I was even allowed to light my hanukiah in the lobby! The staff change the sheets and clean the rooms every day, have tours going out daily, and keep the doors locked at all times! The vibe in the hostel is very quiet so if you are looking for a private, quiet stay Recoleta is the place for you!

Great hostel. Owner is very nice and helpful. We stayed in 4 bedroom suite with our own bathroom. Very lovely, lots of warm water and he gave each of us our own towel. Breakfast was the standard in Peru- teas, rolls and bananas- tasty. You can take a taxi anywhere in Cusco for 3-4 soles and walking is super easy. We liked the neighborhood, not touristy and we walked around at nite and it was safe. Clean, convenien and quiet t! Best restaurants are in San Blas area too.

I stayed here because my girlfriend and I were pretty sick at the time, and it was the cheapest option of a twin private room at a place with a good review. However, not only is the hotel super cute/home-y, highly secure, and clearly family run, but the room itself was great! Plenty of outlets, a tv (not usually a huge fan but nice when you're sick with a fever), good natural lighting, night stand with light, and beds with plenty of nice blankets and comfy pillows! Nice bathrooms, helpful staff.

In general I think you can find much better value for money in Cuzco. We had booked 4 nights but wanted to change location after realizing the poor quality of the hostel - this did not seem to please the staff and we had to talk with the manager on the phone before the guy on duty would give us our bags back. Not a very nice experience. STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Excellent hostel. The owner, Javier, does everything to make you feel comfortable and welcome there. The price is excellent and the facilities are clean and good looking. Not all of the staff speak English, but they all strive to understand any scrap of Spanish you manage to speak.

We stayed 3 nights in a twin private room and really enjoyed our stay. Our bathroom was located ouside across from the room and was very spacious and clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
