We had a good, quiet, comfortable stay in Hospedaria Sao Filipe. It is more of a tiny motel than a typical hostel. The security involves a front door which can only be unlocked by reception after ringing the bell. Since it was off season in Faro, there wasn't much to do, and we ended up getting spoiled by the small TV in the room. Nice little motel, especially if you are traveling in a couple or group, and don't feel like meeting other travelers.

Staff were very helpful. I stayed in a twin room which cost £22 a night for to of us with an ensuite. Bathroom was quite damp but the shower was excellent. They also offer a fairly cheap laundry service and bar service although we didn't use it.

Really cute little place close to the centre and bus station with really friendly staff!

friendly and helpful front door lady. rooms small and bathrooms tiny. If you are at all overweight you will never make it into the shower.
