This is a good hostel, with welcoming staff and good breakfast. Room was very clean and comfortable. The location is excellent, near the centre but quiet & the views are better on this side of the town. El Chalten is expensive so whilst I've rated VFM as good, it simply reflects that, rather than comparisons with standard hostel prices elsewhere. As mentioned in another review, access to a kettle for coffee during the day would be a good idea.

We LOVED this place! The woman who runs it is incredibly friendly and SO helpful!! She happily drew us a detailed map of the best places to go out, and spent over an hour answering all of our questions. She also called restaurants on our behalf to arrange new year's reservations. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and come with clean bedding and towels. We could even see The FItz from our window! A lovely, amicable atmosphere! Only downside to facilities--no kitchen.

really great room, in good nick, nice bed, clean bathroom, quiet and secure. really lovely owners (with no english but SO friendly). couldn't really ask for more as long as you're not after a wild party every night but want somewhere clean and comfortable to come back to after a long day in the mountains where you're made to feel welcome.

Fine hostel, at the edge of town, but still close enough to everything. Very clean, but somewhat small rooms. Nice very clean bathrooms even with the towel warmer. Good breakfast. Slightly overpriced for the room size, but good enough to stay for a couple of days. We had to interact mostly with the staff memebr who was very friendly and tried to be helpful, but didn't speak a single word of English, so conveying our questions and requests took forever. Nice place overall though.
