The local were the hostel is located is very poor, i went with other girl and we wore a little afraid of walking in the street by night, but i think thats te normal in Sta Cruz. The staff was gentil but don´t speack inglish (i am braziliam but my spanish is very poor). No hot shawer.
There was no swimming pool, but this was a clean and nice hostel. The hostel owner was very kind, and wanted to help us all the time and provided a lot of information.
The member of staff who was about as present as the ghost of Christmas past was also as enthusiastic about his job as an ape with a rubrics cube. On numerous occasions I asked what there was to do in Santa Cruz, and the answer to everything was 'it is round the corner'...I can assure you it wasn't. The whole experience left me drained and depressed. I only stayed there one night, it got too much in the end. However, at least now I can tell me friends I have seen the end of the world.
It's not a beautiful place, but it's like the average in Bolivia. Good location if you are traveling by plane (It's close to the place where the bus from the airport Viru Viru arrives). The guy at the reception first explain me very well all the activities to make around Santa Cruz, but after that he wasn't very kind. WIFI only near the reception.
