Hostal Ambos Mundos Reviews

The room was clean and we got a good value for what we paid. The location is the best about this place. Nice was as well that they changed towels every day and cleaned the room (make beds, clean floor) every day. The only negative thing was, that there is only someone at the reception on the arranged check in time. After that we didn't see anymore staff at all. I guess for questions about the city one has to go downstairs to the restaurant Ambos Mundos and inquire there. I would go there again!

Whilst the rooms are dated, they are clean. Directly overlooking Plaza Real there is background noise, but this is outweighed by its great position in the centre of Barcelona. If you need somewhere to rest your head, central & close to most attractions its great. I'd go there again & great valuie for money

Location is excellent on a lively Plaza close to the famous Rambla. Choice between quiet and Plaza rooms. Entrance to establishment with own key 24 hours. Room to room poor noise insulation. While there, one room was being renovated. Odd art-collection.

Perfect location! Nice staff if you are happy enough to meet them. Recommend it. ** hotel.

was i good place in the middle of the old town. rooms where OK all of them with bathroom. the beds are really small and make big sounds :-) the hostel is in a perfect location but is very noisy because there is the big Placa outside wtih lots of restaurants and bars. and i think the only reason why there is no 4 or 5 star hotel at the same location is that there is the KARMA Nightclub just in the basement. so it can get really loud in the rooms!

old, like 20years without any renovation, interior - we wre kind of scared first when we saw it but once we opened the window and saw Piaza Real and went for walk via Las Ramblas (30meters from our window) we forgot about the ugly space..

We had thieves braking in to our room taking our computers and other belongings. The room was locked and there was no sign of breaking in. Therefore it is quite likely that it was someone who had a key. They broke in to the room while we were out eating in the evening which means that they had been watching us and knew we were out for the evening. /Erik
