The staff was very friendly and we didn't have a problem finding the hostel. It's a short walk from downtown and about 15 minutes from the Alhambra. The guy who wrote that the bathroom was big enough to have a party was right, too. Our bathroom was huge compared to all the other hostel bathrooms we've stayed in. I'd recommend it here.

Room on the 4th floor without an elevator :( . Found the restrictions on cooking in the room difficult, especially because every time we came in from the cold, we found ourselves wanting some hot tea and not able to make it ourselves. They let us dry our washing outside on the terrace, which was fair.

Hostal Arroyo was surprisingly clean, and had in-room heating (only at night though). The room was relatively spacious and had a wardrobe to put your things away in. Each day the staff came in and made the bed and took out the trash. I would totally recommend this hostel to anyone.

It was a nice clean quite hostel, but the location isn't the greatest. I think if you stay there it's probably best to stay with at least one other person, due to the fact that you should probably walk in pairs to get there and it's kind of boring without someone else.

Very nice hostel, but if you're trying to have a "true hostel" experience this is not the place for you. I didn't meet anyone other than the staff. Think more of a hotel when you book here.

Very clean, nice staff. Amazing prices and great location, very close to Gran Vía.

Great rooftop rooms with views of the city and even La Alhambra. The hostel itself didn't have internet or breakfast, which was a bummer, but there were plenty of internet cafes and cheap bakeries along San Jaun de Dios, the main street off of which Hostel Arroyo is located. The staff spoke little English, but were very nice. Great place to stay for cheap!

Great Hostel with very clean bathrooms! The only bad thing I have to say about it was that there was no secure luggage storage, just a corridor without locks to put your stuff. If you just need a good nights sleep then this is a great place.   Read Owner Comments

Very clean and very loud. People really need to realize that when they´re staying in a dorm they should not have long conversations or unwrap lots of candies in the middle of the night. That´s the guests´ fault, but I could hear a lot of street noise (read yelling) and lots of noise from the common room every time someone opened the door. That said, staff in some cases went out of their way to be helpful. Overall, OK; not the best, but fine if you don´t need a good night´s sleep.
