Great hostel, had a free BBQ on my first night which was delicious and a great way to meet other travellers and get to know the staff who were all really friendly. There was only one computer which wasn`t enough as it was always in use. I booked my volcano hike with their company too, was ok but the guides were very negative to the point of making me want to turn around and give up.

Everything is great except the fact that there is no heating inside the room - we had the double room ensuite and it was very cold (they provide enough blankets, but I think some heating is necessary).

Extraordinary atmosphere, very friendly staff, we were drunk like pigs partying with the staff and the guests! They organize barbecues for you as well as outdoor activities like climbing the volcano for a much better price than other agencies and friendly guides. Backpackers Pucon RULES!

Rly nice hostel and Hugo will make sure you have a pleasent stay! Great man! The beds are good, the kitchen is well equipped and there is a nice chill out area with fireplace. Unfortunately our shower after the vulcano trip was ice cold :( The vulcano tour offered by the hostel was awesome! Though make sure you get a guide who speaks good english (if your spanish isnt good). They also offer the 4am tour (1 of 2 agencies in town)! We enjoyed our stay!

Best value for money. It's not the newest hostel of the world, but still it is clean, the kitchen is well equiped and the stuff is absolutely firendly and helpful! Would although highly recommend the morning tour to the glacier at 04:30.

As other reviews say this hostel is dark, there are a lack of windows to allow natural light into the rooms and common area, but its no real problem for a short stay. Staff were all nice, friendly and helpful, the kitchen is ok, and the common area is fine. All in all a good 'budget' hostel in Pucon. The 4.30am volcano tour is good value for money for guests and one of only two offered in the city (the rest are around 7am).

I think, people either love or hate this place. I loved it! Although I didn't get too much sleep because the walls are very thin and it's pretty noisy. So don't go there if you want to go to bed at 10 pm. The good thing is, it is very quiet in the morning. I liked the staff, they are all very friendly and helpful and fun. This place has really a nice vibe. I also booked a tour to the volcano Villarrica which I can recommend (do the 4:30 am tour if possible).

We stay for few days, friendly staff, but the kitchen could be better eqipped. BBQ events are very good here. Unfortunately there is only one computer for internet using for too many hostel guests.

the people were so nice, the hostel is so well located. The hostal coud have some improving, new stuff in the kitchen, or new blankets, but the home enviromment and the people are totally worth it

The young french-guy was very helpful and accommodating. The guides who did the volcano trip were great too. The owner subscribes to the "hard sale", as long as your questions invovle one of his guided tours he will make time for you. If you try to get information to do somethings unguided on your own, he's too busy. I showed the manager how I can get into my locked room faster with butter knife then my key, offered a quick, cheep solution, but they did nothing to fix room #1.
