$7 for a private room! For value it can't be beaten. Sure it's run down, there's no bar, security is a bit over the top (the from door has to be opened for you by buzzing the owners) but it's a good spot and if all you want is a safe place to sleep what more could you ask for?

I don't think you can get a better place for this price. It is cheap, clean and the equipment is in a good condition. The owner of the hostel and his wife are really friendly. Only minus is that it smells a bit musty.

Our stay at Hostal Belmont Plaza was well enjoyed. A bit average at first glance but great value for money and the rooftop was a lovely, peaceful place for a cup of tea. The staff were extremely helpful and kind, I came down with a throat infection and the man working a reception drew us a map to the doctors and made me a cup of tea. Very sweet, would defiantly reccomend this hostal to travellers on a budget.
