Excellent and highly recommended. The staff and owner are very customer focused and accessible. They went above and beyond the call of duty to make our stay enjoyable, and assist with our needs. In addition, the breakfast provided each morning is excellent for this class of hostel facility, including eggs cooked to order, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, juices, etc. The kitchen is well equipped, providing guests with a good place to prepare their own meals. We would stay at Campo Base again.

The hostel is very comfortable. They are always cleaning the bathrooms and common area. Beds are good and confortable. It's 3 minutes walk to the main street. Book in advance because it's very likely to be fully booked.
The facilities in this hostel are very nice. Almost too nice. Because of this, you end up with less of a backpackers crowd which kind of ruins the hosteller/traveller environment that one becomes accustomed to. The staff is very helpful and the fact that they pack a breakfast for you in the morning for early excursions is almost worth the extra cost in itself.
Such a cool hostel. Really cool set up and awesome party vibe. Staff party with the guests and even organised a pick up truck to take us somewhere to continue partying after the local clubs closed. Facilities are not great however as the kitchen is very small and there's only 2 showers.
Very clean hostel, staff really nice. San Pedro is a small village, so it's near everything you need. If you need to go out really early because of a flight or tour, they prepare a breakfast for you to take out! Loved it!
A beautiful hostel. It is very clean & the staff are very friendly. If you need help with anything they are more than happy to help. The breakfast is the best free breakfast I have every had. I've stayed in alot of hostel & this is definately one the best.

Good breakfast. They also pack you a breakfast to take away if you have a tour early in the morning.
The Hostal Campo Base is very good located, just two blocks to the main street (Caracoles), superclean, the staff is very friendly and helpfull and the breakfast is great! What surprised myself was the fact that they provide you a great breakfast to go if you need to wake up before the breakfast time (because of the early tours or because of your flight). The room is very confortable and they have wifi all over the hostal, including the rooms, kitchen and common areas. I recommend this place!!!
Really nice hostel in San Pedro. The breakfast was awesome - fresh fruit, bread, cheese, ham, even freshly cooked eggs and pancakes. The rooms and all facilities were always clean. Each bed had its own little light which is really useful as travelers get up at very early times. Dorm wasn't huge but big enough, had lockers and a nice bathroom. It's a little expensive but I guess all of San Pedro isn't very cheap..I would recommend this hostel!
Perfect hostel with great atmosphere and location, very clean ensuite rooms, towels and an amazing breakfast (also they do breakfast/lunch to take away on your tour if they start in the early morning). I would definitely recommend this hostel for your stay in San Pedro, and I'm sure if I come back I would stay there again. They also work with a tour agencies so you can comfortably book tours with them straight-away and they are flexible on times and dates.
Great breakfast, decent wifi and a good shower.
Nice rooms, hot shower, and a very kind staff!
Nice hostel, very clean and comfortable, excellent breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful with the tours and all information that we need.
The hostel is within walking distance from the city center. The staff is friendly and oriented towards the customer (if you are not there for breakfast they make up a cute to go package, you can use the hostel facilities even after the check out). The cleanliness of the hostel it's one of their strong points.

The place is great, not really a complain, only a suggestion:The front room that serves as reception and a living common area could have a more stylish and cozy decoration.
Loved the hair dryer in the bathroom. Such a treat!
Stayed for 2 nights at Hostal Campo Base and possibly one of the best hostels I've stayed in my 7 weeks of travel in South America! Good location with bike rental/laundry/cambios located a stone's throw away. Rooms/bathrooms were very clean and beds were comfortable and warm! Breakfast was fantastic with a choice of fruit salad, cereal, yogurt, pancakes, eggs and the usual coffee/tea/bread! Staff was friendly and very helpful, especially Cynthia who spoke fluent English! Highly recommend!
great hostel! a bit pricey but worth the money. hot showers, breakfast above average, friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere and great people. would stay there again!
One of the best hostels I've stayed at, absolutely excellent. Staff were very helpful and the free breakfast was awesome.
