Hostal Casa Areka Reviews

Oswald and Erick are great. Hostel room, toilet and shower were clean. Kitchen (Fridge!) was a little dirty sometimes, but I'd blame lazy guests more than the hostel. The location seems very safe and the 24 hour supermarket across the street is handy. The nearby mall is a little too upscale for a simple backpacker though.

This was seriously one of the best hostels I ever stayed at. The room was hotel quality, with cable TV, Wifi, air conditioning, a giant bed. A very large room for being a hostel. The location is great, close enough to take the bus anywhere, or a cab. You should definitely stay here if you're looking for a hostel in Panama City. It really made our vacation perfect, to save money and still be able to come back and relax at a nice, quiet hostel.

I stayed at Casa Areka for 15 days while visiting Panama City. Oswald and his staff do an excellent job and all go above and beyond to take care of the facility and the quests. I highly recommend Casa Areka if you are planning a visit to Panama. Marianne

We felt very comfortable in this lovely place. Just opposite of the hostel there is the Super 99 supermarket where you can get everything (24 hours open). Staff is very friendly, very relaxed atmosphere and coffee is included.

Oscar was incredibly kind and very friendly - he makes the place! Met some wonderful people here and really enjoyed my stay. My only suggestion is it could be cleaner.

For cost benefit Hostal is a good option
