Casa Bareke is ideally located in a quiet community right in the center of Popayan Colombia and is embedded within the Universities ambiance. You will truly appreciate the ambiance surrendered by the environment within the hostel itself, which respectfully loans itself, in the form of a reward to this hostel. The milieu is established by international backpackers. Even women traveling alone will welcome Casa Bareke Hostel safe environment. The place is very clean, quiet, and inviting. Perfect location for Semana Santa. Extremely friendly staff - will introduce you to all their friends and family, which made Popayan and an unforgettable experience. Some of the cleanest rooms/beds I have come across.

The staff here were really great and got involved with us all the time for drinking with them and there friends. They also showed us around during holy week celebrations. The hostel itself is clean with a lot of character and very secure. There is not much in the way of facilities such as book exchange, computers, TV etc but that would not stop me from staying here again.
