A great hostel . First night, we got a free pisco sour, and the whole hostel was very social. The staff were brilliant and very friendly with lots of local information. The hostel is also in a great location for bars and restaurants in the night and not far from the centre for during the day. Recommended

Hostel is located in a nice quiet area, you can walk everywhere as well. It was clean and had a decent breakfast. The hot water in the showers did not last a long time. Staff were very helpful and told us of some great places to go.

I loved my stay at Hostal Casa Valparaiso - great staff, great atmosphere and a very good location.

it's a good hostel with a very kind staff. Could only be more entertaining for a city like Valpo.

Best hostel I've stayed in yet in South America! The owners and staff are so helpful, the mattresses are so comfortable, there's a really homey feel because they give you your own set of keys to open the front door, the breakfast was amazing (scrambled eggs), it was really quirkily decorated, the wifi was fast, basically everything was great!

I really enjoyed myself at Casa Valparaiso. Clean bathrooms, clean rooms, and a cozy common area all made for a nice place to come back to after a day of exploring. Would stay again.

Great Hostel with a friendly family atmosphere.

I thought this hostel was a bit grungy; there were stains on the bedsheets which freaked me out and, in general, the hostel seems beat up and old. Couches in the common area are all cracked and it grossed me out to sit on them. My friend and I tried to spend as little time as possible at the hostel. That being said, the location is convenient and the staff does try to be helpful. I would not go back to this hostel next time I am in Valparaiso...

this hostel is amazing!! they provide maps and diferent information to have excelent days in valparaiso, Staff are friendly and helpfull, every day is posible to meet other travellers because sometimes they organice diferent dinners and party tours for free! hostel is very clean, breakfast was really complete. It was imposible for me leave this hostel!! they make you feel like home! thanks guys!!

It was the best experience in hostels I had been. The staff is great, I Feel in home, but much better, with lots of nice people and lots of things to do every day. Here, every day is an adventure and you never can´t be boring. We had pisco souer nights, bbq nights, caipirhina nights, limbo nights, etc, etc. There were the funniest nights I ever had before.

One of those rare hostels where you immediately feel at home - absolutely loved it! The location is amazing, the building itself great, awesome staff, free Pisco Sour night...if you go to Valpo, this is the place to stay.

was there for new years, they did a bbq for us and everyone partied until the early hours of the morning. was lots of fun and easy to meet people in the downstairs kitchen / living room area. generally a pretty cool place with friendly people working there.

The hostel staff was really nice, and free pisco sour on Tues night, but the place wasn't very clean. I was scared to have bed bugs, but I didn't, but some other girl did... Location is great. Just double check with the staff that your payment included the 10% hostelworld pre-deposit. They forgot mine till I reminded them. A bit unorganized...

Not happy. Private room could not be locked at first. When we could lock it the lock was a joke, didn't feel safe at all to leave stuff in there. Bathroom super dirty and everything broken. Only one bathroom. Had to wait 30 minutes to take a shower the day we got there. When we checked out the owner wasn't there, only the cleaning lady. The owner told her to charge us a higher price which put the cleaning lady in a very bad spot because she didn't know what to do. Incredible!

We stayed at this hostel for 5 nights, and we loved every minute of it. The location is excellent, and for the area it is by far the best price. The staff is amazing, and Jorge is always available to answer questions and give great suggestions. The breakfast is great; eggs, fresh fruit juice, rolls, cookies and coffee. It has a good common area to hang out in. The beds are BY FAR the most COMFORTABLEE BEDS of any hostel I have ever been in. We really felt at home in this hostel. RECOMMENDED.

Very nice and cosy hostel with an excellent location. Staff was super nice and helped with everything. Also breakfast was great. No computers was the only small minus but there is wifi and heaps of cheap internet cafes in the city.
