Simple but clean and at a really good price.

This hostel was the best place to relax when we wanted a quiet evening after walking all day. There was no community kitchen or lounge that we could see so if you're looking to meet a lot of new people it may not be the right place. Everything was extremely clean and looked more like a hotel than a hostel. We felt safe leaving our bags in our room while we were out for the day and the staff was very kind.

Wonderful place to stay. Clean and friendly

This hostel is more like different rooms in a really big apartment. The room is good, we got one with toilet inside. Cleanliness perfect, and the staff was helpful and friendly. Is not a place to make some friends because of the common areas don´t exist. The location is great, Atocha street, very close to everything, city center, La Latina......To enjoy Madrid a couple of days is really convenient.

The hostel is very secure - It has no lounge or place to sit in apart from your room (so lacking in atmosphere) but if you want a clean safe secure place that is quiet, yet close to everything (I had one of the back rooms) then this is the right place. The air conditioning functioned perfectly and the wi fi connection excellent.

Nice place in Madrid downtown

This is a good hostal to stay in for the location and price. There is no atmosphere since it's more like a boarding house. The front desk was always manned with friendly staff. Air con worked very well. Ask for a hair dryer if needed. The only thing that cannot really be helped is that the water smelled during our showers, perhaps because we showered so late we were getting water from the bottom of the tank. The water pressure was very poor also in the shower. But overall a good place to sleep.

Grateful for the 24 hour concierge as we arrived in Madrid unexpectedly on a very late flight as we had missed our flight to Valencia. A cheap and basic hostel in a great location.

This was similar to a low budget hotel, the rooms were nice and clean with private bathroom and I hardly saw another guest. Wifi was really good only downside is there is no kitchen to use.

Very clean hostel with a good location and good value for money! More of a private hostel so meeting new people was hard, but I would definitely stay here again!

Very nice hostel in the heart of Madrid. Everything was all right and it was a pleasant night we spent there. It's a great option to avoid expensive hotels.

This is a fabulous pension. There is no shared space so I would not call it a hostel. Rooms are cleaned daily! Bathrooms private and fully equipped!! Perfect for adults

Although this hotel has walls that are as thin as a paper sheet (you can hear your neighbours sneeze and snore and talk), we had an excellent week-end in Castilla1! Location is incredible, you can just walk to several places, restaurants and parks. Rooms were small but cute, and the staff was very nice, smilling and helpful! Melissa, Montreal

The stay was really great! The room was cleaned every day and we felt really good staying there. We had a room facing the street so it was pretty noisy but that is quite normal in Madrid. The staff was very nice and helpful! I recommand staying there also because it is VERY central. Your close to Plaza Santa Ana, Plaza del Sol and Plaza Mayor!
