From our establishment, you can visit walking: :

The city's biggest attractions are also nearby so it is not necessary to use public transport.

Perfectly official notice, the hostal Castilla I ' is to 50 mts of the next Sun, tube station (lines 1,2 and 3), and very near the station of 'Atocha RENFE.
Check-IN is approximately 13:00 p.m. If your room is not yet available when you check-in, you may leave your luggage at the reception desk.
Check-Out is at 12:00 a.m.(noon)

brand new (after renovation), clean, super localisation - only disadventage is that wall between our room and next one were very thin - we could hear every conversation, tv or walking - but it`s not that big matter. i truly reccomend! and if i am in madrid i would go there again.
