Staff were lovely, although sometimes a bit hard to find.. good location away from all the hustle and bustle, nice big kitchen and good views.

Good location, great I introduction to what the city and surrounding towns offer. The room was really dusty which was a huge downside . Kitchen was good (replacing the dish rags and cloths could be done more often, it wasn't done in the 3 days we were there ) . Overall good hostel but needs to be cleaned more frequently.

Nice location close to the centre, but not too close, and good value for what I got. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and made me feel very at home. However, most of the time I was there, I was the only guest, which was great because I wanted to get my head down and study Spanish, but this place is not in the thick of it.

We had very good stay at Chasqui. Staff was very accommodating. We appreciated the DVD's we could play in our room, nice big kitchen as well as the free of charge use of the washing machine.

Great, big kitchen for guest use. We barely saw the fella working there, but he gave us an excellent map of Otavalo. This building is gorgeous but in pretty shabby condition. Room never cleaned, had to hunt down staff to get TP. Lots of DVD's for use. Noisy traffic.

Why stay anywhere else. When u leave the bus station just walk turn right then first street go up hill...up some stairs to the rail tracks...turn right and it goes to the hostel doors..right side..white and blue building..the hostel is really nice..we stayed 4 nights as opposed to the one.

Friendly owner who is refurbishing the place a bit, I think. 10 mins pleasant walk to down. Good wifi and free laundry makes this an excellent budget option in Otavalo.

Good hostel outside of the hustle/bustle of downtown Otavalo but within easy walking distance to the central market and all the good stuff of Otavalo. Helpful staff, good beds, decent bathrooms and a nice dining room up above on the terraces that give a great view of the city. All in all a good experience I tried Chimichanga Restaurant just a few blocks away on Piedrahita. A fresh take on nachos with lots of meat, guacamole and no cheese. Nice little terraces which overlook the streets below.

A little out of town, very suitable for couples and peeps seeking refuge from the usual backpacker shanannigins. Very clean and well decorated. Lovely staff (Milton) and rooftop is lovely day ad night.
