The hostel caretakers are super nice. Great breakfasts! And you can have them make you a real home cooked dinner which was so great. Unfortunately you hear all the traffic coming into town but the view is unbeatable! Really needs an outdoor lounge area, maybe some hammocks, the few plastic chairs just didn't cut it.
Great location, clean and friendly but bathrooms are outside!
I can't think of enough great things to say about this hostel. Location-wise you are getting stunning views across the valley with a lovely terrace to enjoy them from. Both owners are warm, friendly people who welcome you into their home. The free breakfast was the best we've had: delicious homemade pancakes, jam and fruit or eggs and bread rolls. We stayed four nights and left reluctantly! Well worth eating dinner one night in the hostel too - beautiful food, reasonably priced.
The guy who owned the hostel was a lovely nice guy.
Pretty nice place. Short walk to the main plaza. Lovely gardened grounds. Perched on the side of the mountain so it has stunning views. The ensuite room was large and quite comfortable, but the electric shower hot water was a bit unreliable (on the first night we ran it too long and killed the hostel's power). Excellent breakfast.
We spent 3 nights in the private double room & had such a nice relaxing stay! The room is large and airy, with lots of windows to let the sun shine in. It is on the top floor so gets amazing morning views of the valley as soon as you wake up. It has a huge balcony, a big bathroom, & a comfy bed! With the addition of the gardens, breakfasts, coffee, and friendly owners, it makes for a really lovely home away from home in Coroico. Just note, no wifi at the hostel and no laundry in the town.
The hostel, was a bit hard to fine and seems to be run by the owners stepdad who was a little flustered. The breakfast was good.

A nice quiet place to chill out, not too far from the main square. The hostel itself is gorgeous, with incredible views, the only down side is there's no wifi.
We loved the personal touch and genuine connection with the owners. It was nice to be a bit out of town in our own little oasis, but still within a couple minutes of everywhere we wanted to be. Breakfast was delicious and it was clean and comfortable. The only issue was layout-related. The view was beautiful and Chawi is generally a great place to be outdoors, but there is nowhere to sit - Chawi could use a hammock or two. We also weren't sure where to find the owners when we needed them.
My friends and I had a great stay in Coroico at Hostal Chawi. Thank you to Charlie for making us feel so welcome!
