The guy who owned the hostel was a lovely nice guy.

Pretty nice place. Short walk to the main plaza. Lovely gardened grounds. Perched on the side of the mountain so it has stunning views. The ensuite room was large and quite comfortable, but the electric shower hot water was a bit unreliable (on the first night we ran it too long and killed the hostel's power). Excellent breakfast.

We spent 3 nights in the private double room & had such a nice relaxing stay! The room is large and airy, with lots of windows to let the sun shine in. It is on the top floor so gets amazing morning views of the valley as soon as you wake up. It has a huge balcony, a big bathroom, & a comfy bed! With the addition of the gardens, breakfasts, coffee, and friendly owners, it makes for a really lovely home away from home in Coroico. Just note, no wifi at the hostel and no laundry in the town.

The hostel, was a bit hard to fine and seems to be run by the owners stepdad who was a little flustered. The breakfast was good.

A nice quiet place to chill out, not too far from the main square. The hostel itself is gorgeous, with incredible views, the only down side is there's no wifi.

We loved the personal touch and genuine connection with the owners. It was nice to be a bit out of town in our own little oasis, but still within a couple minutes of everywhere we wanted to be. Breakfast was delicious and it was clean and comfortable. The only issue was layout-related. The view was beautiful and Chawi is generally a great place to be outdoors, but there is nowhere to sit - Chawi could use a hammock or two. We also weren't sure where to find the owners when we needed them.

Amazing views from the private double room!

We had an absolutely amazing time at Chawi and would not hesitate to recommend it. Charlie was a fantastic host, the rooms had everything you could need, breakfast was delicious and the views from the building were incredible. Top this off with small touches - beers and spirits available in the bar at supermarket price - made this easily the best hostel we've stayed in so far in Bolivia. Thanks Charlie and co!

Just arrived back in La Paz after a wonderfully relaxing weekend all thanks to Charlie & Co. This hostel is a true slice of paradise and is perched on the mountain side allowing fantastic views of the Wayq'u valley. You can't help but wake up with a smile on your face as the morning cloud clears and condors float across the vast landscape. Breakfast was great everyday and served in the common room which is complete with a well stocked & cheap mini bar. Can't wait to visit Chawi again!

Great hostel with wonderful hosts - booked 2 nights and stayed 6! Both private rooms & dorms are spacious, bright & well furnished - plus they have the most incredible views over the valley. Hot showers, great home cooked breakfasts & dinners & a big roof terrace for sunny afternoons. Coroico is the perfect little place to relax & there's wifi cafés in town if needed. Big thanks to the owners, who couldn't be kinder or more helpful. We have some wonderful memories!
