Wouldn't recommend this place. Nobody there. More hostels a lot closer to town and Alot cheaper.
Hostal Cocosbeach was wonderful! The place is also a restaurant and the home of the owners. The owners are absolutely helpful, though only the father speaks some English. The room and bathroom were very comfortable (bring your own TP). Location is fantastic; immediately off the beach, and you can listen to the waves as you wake up, and it´s away from the noise of the night-life. You leave the room key on the front desk, which is not very secure, but otherwise I felt very safe. Great place!
Staff was helpful in recommending a surf school. Huanchaco itself was empty.
A quaint and quiet hostel right on the ocean with a great patio lookout. A little bit outside of the hub of the pier and the central town. This family run hostel is very friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a higher trafficked hostel with other travelers this might not be the place for you. But, overall I had a good stay.
Location could be better - this is about 500 meters from the area where you really want to be in south bay. Had to walk 10 min to get to good bars and restuarants. Dorm was OK but nothing special
fine hostel in Huanchaco - but be careful, staff is not speaking a word English
Very friendly staff, we felt welcome and enjoyed our stay here.
