The hostel was full when we arrived, despite booking early for santa semana (a time when it can be very hard to find a room). I had also confirmed our reservation through email. When we arrived we were told that they had a room for us at another hostel. The new hostel had no guest kitchen, which was one of our reasons for booking the colibri. I recieved no notice of these changes, and they were still taking reservations through hostelworld later that evening.

Basically clean but my bed was full of bedbugs...

We stayed three nights here and we loved our stay. The hostel has a great communal kitchen and the garden has several seating areas where you can relax. The cold showers can be mentioned, but hot water isn't really needed in Leon anyway. Would definately come again!
