More of a hotel vibe than a hostal. There was no sense of community or "the staff is here to help you!" as I've generally experienced in hostels before. And when they say no breakfast, they MEAN no breakfast. As in no salt, sugar, oil, tea, or other basics stocked in the kitchen. However, the place was clean, quiet, and AMAZING location! Close enough to the center to walk everywhere, close enough to party/bar town as well, yet far enough away that we weren't disturbed by noise. Beautiful place!

Good hostel in a very good location in Valparaiso, walking distance from the attractions and bars and nightlife. Clean rooms and the owner was helpful. On the downside, it lacks atmosphere. There are a handful of individual rooms with not really a common area. Also only one bathroom and toilet available which can be a problem when the hostel is busy.

Nice and unpretentious

We had a private room and ensuite on the top floor. The room was very nice, clean, and plenty of hot water in the shower. However we felt like we were staying in an apartment rather than a hostel. We had no access to the other area of the hostel and had to ring a bell to contact staff. There was a kitchen, reasonably well equipped but there was a sign saying it was only to be used for breakfast! We were given no code to the Wifi so can not rate this.
