Malcolm was really helpful, the hostel in prime location in safe suburb and the hostel itself was clean with good facilities.

Nice place but with no hostel atmosphere, it's like living in owners home. It's ok anyway for price and position.

I marked these as I could nOt just comment. I did Not stay here as I was asked to leave by the owner. WHY you ask. Because I booked a bed in a four bed mixed dorm at $8 per bed. There was a bed for me but an upper bed, I explained that I could not climb in this bed with no ladder ( aged 65 and arthritic). They said that there was another bed in this dorm (on the floor) but it was $10. I objected to this as I booked into a 4 bed dorm with all beds $8.

These individuals allowed personal domestic matrimonial argumentation to sever the atmosphere and agenda of the travelers present. They have no business conducting a hostel from their home and not attending to their guest.

this place was safe and clean and spacious but more like someone's house than a hostel - not great for meeting people and not much of a hostel vibe

Best hostel in this city. Located in a safe area, this house converted into a hostel is welcoming. The staff are very helpful. Def stay here if you have to make a stop in San Salvador.
