Wonderful place, almost a hotel. Private room is really large, everything works (wifi, breakfast, lockers, luggage store) and dona Marisa (pardon if I'm wrong) is a helpful and honest manager.

We had a pleasant enough twin room with bathroom right at the front of the hostel. The window was out on to the street and the traffic noise at night was very loud.

This hostel is superb. Definitely a highlight (the only one) in an otherwise aweful city

Very friendly staff and good breakfast. We were looking for a place close to the bus station, so we wouldn't need to take a bus or a taxi with our luggage up to the "cerros". So, it worked for us, although it's not in the nicest or safest location. The room was large and had cable tv and lockers. Had allergy because of the carpets. It's a bit noisy because of the wooden construction - you can hear people walking the whole night - which is annoying. The bathrooms were clean enough.

Excellent hostel altough music+screams go on until 4am and they blast the music at 10am. Not impressed by courtesy of staff.

A nice place run by a family. Very clean and the staff was friendly. Location is convenient to the bus station but a pretty far walk to the main downtown and the happening, artsy areas. Strict rules regarding quiet hours made for a subdued stay. No real common space to hang out or meet other guests. TVs in each room so people just stayed in their rooms. A decent breakfast was included, consisting of ham and cheese and fruit or juice in addition to the typical bread w/ jam, tea and coffee.

Although it's a bit far from the main part of the city people want to visit, the Ricon Marino offers good bed and breakfast for a low price and the staff was really helpful in planning the visit of the city.
