Hostal Escandinavia Reviews

The Escandinavia was perfect for us,for the length of time we were there.the room was cleaned everyday,clean linen and towels daily. Beds were comfy and there was plenty of hot water for baths. The landlady was kind enough to let us use our room to totake a shower after we told her we had a late nite flight..and this was after the checking out time. Cheap and cheerful is how i would describe the Escandinava...oh,and theres free wifi :).

An Asian elderly lady opened the door, yelling into her phone. She waved me in to no lights being on. I noticed a strong putrid smell of cat urine and feces. Had no idea about my reservation. Instead of giving me the key to my room, she walked me upstairs, saying nothing. Cats were everywhere. She cleaned up the room in front of me. No clean sheets or anything. Bath tub was broken. Smelled awful. Hair and bugs on the beds. I slept on the floor. IS NOT LIKE IT IS DESCRIBED... DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

Overall we enjoyed our stay, lovely hostal and staff very helpful. nice area and not too far from the beach. We are staying overnight again this Saturday with our son so it will be easier to take him to Malaga airport. One thing though, we couldnt get the shower working. the bit that you pushed up or down so the water came out the shower head was not there.
