Overall, Hostal Fabiola is a good deal and we would recommend it. Great location-near the metro and walking distance to most sites. Staff is very pleasant. It has a partial kitchen (sink/microwave/fridge only; a stove would be perfect!). The bathrooms were clean but it was a pain to get hot water and you had to hold the shower head. The breakfast was an added bonus. Our only real complaint was the double bed. It was worn and we woke up with back pain every morning
Overall, it was a very good experience. The people who worked there were very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were okay - there were issues with hot water at times but it always bounced back after a few minutes. The rooms were a little small but totally fine if you're just sleeping there and exploring the city during the day. Also, there was a kitchen where breakfast was provided and you could make food. It also served as a small area for hostel stayers to chat and meet each other.
Great hostel! The staff was extremely friendly, and the bathrooms were nice and clean. The location was great as well in the center city, and right next to a metro stop. Quick walk to many of the major attractions in the city. Rooms also had AC. Would definitely stay here again!
It wonderful location great staff and the room was comfortable with the private shower. Very good air con, great hostel
The hostel had everything we needed. The receptionist did not speak English though, but we could speak Spanish so it was alright. Good recommendations for restaurants, etc.
It's about a 15 min walk from the Atocha Renfe station. It's up a side street on the 4th floor. The staff was reall nice and helpful. The man spoke English and the woman was warm and welcoming. Shared bathroom was ok. Our room 6 was right on the wall of the shower though so it got pretty loud when someone showered. Room was key locked and had a lockable cabinet in the room that fit both of our luggage in it. We took the keys w us. No cerfew. It was our first time in a hostel. Overall pretty good
The location of the hostel is great, right next to a Metro line and a short walk from Plaza Mayor (the main plaza). The staff was super friendly and helpful, although didn't speak much English. We got to the hostel at 7am, and weren't scheduled to check in till 1, but the worker cleaned our room and we only had to wait about 20 minutes to get a room. Overall, a great value for the money!
Arrived late due to delayed flight. No problem. Right next to metro stop.
