Hostal Horizonte(Guesthouse) Reviews

The building was really beautiful and owner really helpful and friendly but the facilities were not great. Our room was cold as the window didn't shut properly, the bed was uncomfortable and when we asked for an extra pillow as the one we had was very thin and hard were told there were none available. The bathroom was clean but the shower did not fit on the wall so you had to hold it in your hand. As stated on their website their are no additional facilities such as common rooms or kitchen.

Great place! Situated only 5 minutes from Plaza del Sol. Loved it! They don't serve breakfast but at the corner down the street there ist the best churrería in town, try the purros with chocolate :-) I defenitly recommend that place!!! I will come back, thankx!!!

The building had a lot of character inside, and it was very quiet. The guy at the reception, however, was not around when he said he would be, so I had to wait for 3 hours outside with all my stuff. He had no record of me making a reservation, and I had to show him the hostelworld booking confirmation before be begrudgingly got me a room. Other than that, the stay was good

Original masterpiece of stylish luxury. Cool owner - traveller. Its is a hostel where everything is made with attention to the artistic details and there is amazing energy. The rooms are private single and double so it means a lot of privacy compared to noisy shared room hostels. The area by Plaza de Santa Ana and Sol is my favourite.

Loved my stay at Hostel Horizonte, it is very conviently located, walking distance from all major sites, only about 5 minutes from Plaza del Sol but it is incredibly quiet at night, no trouble falling asleep. Rooms and bathrooms are very clean and I got my own set of keys from the building and could walk in and out as I pleased. When I come back to Madrid, I would love to stay there again.

It was a very nice place to stay. The staff let me borrow a Madrid guidebook, which was very helpful. My room had a window to a main street, so it was a bit noisy at night.

I was very happy with my stay at the hostel. It was ideal for my needs and the staff were friendly.

One of the best hostel I've been to. It's located near the metro Anton Martin and a couple minutes by walking to Plaza Santa Ana. The place is very clean, decorated with stuff from all around the world. The room was quite spacious, with high ceiling. The guy who own the place is a also a huge traveller (you can see his pictures from his previous trips in his office) and was helpful to tell us where to go on our first day. Would definitely stay there again next time.
