Hostal Horizonte(Guesthouse) Reviews

This place provided funky comfortable rooms in a character building. They are spacious and airy. The bathrooms are good but my only complaint is that you have to hold the shower handle over yourself (no where to ancor it up on the wall like a normal shower which means you only have one free hand). The staff are friendly but not around very often. Overall we had what we needed, but it could have been better.

This is not a place to party. I greatly appreciated that, but for others this would not be a selling point. Staff availability was very limited.

The location was great. The bathroom is not in your room and you share with the other guest. Luckily I didn't have to wait to use the facilities but still a bit inconvient at times to have to leave the room. All in all, this place is a good bang for your buck as well as situated in a great area.

This is an absolutely beautiful place located extremely close to the Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol. It was extremely quiet, which was much to our liking as we returned to the hostal exhausted at the end of every day. The staff, though not always visibly available, was very kind and helpful. I would describe this place as a very attractive cheap hotel and would definitely stay here again.

Super hostel for people who are not looking for parties in the hostel. Place very quiet, clean, discreet and ideal location. I had a room with my boyfriend, a private with shared bath. Everything was really good. We are very pleased.

The hostel is in an old Spanish apartment, impressively decorated with giant mirrors, super-high ceilings, and old doors. But I literally didn't see another guest the entire time I was there. This might be ideal for some--my room was quiet, private, and peaceful--but it did give the hostel a bit of an eerie feeling.

The hostel is very nice, very clean and very well located.

Great location to explore Madrid. Was really quiet, bathroom spotless, and wifi worked great. Downside no kitchen, but hey tapas are only 1 min away.

The building was really beautiful and owner really helpful and friendly but the facilities were not great. Our room was cold as the window didn't shut properly, the bed was uncomfortable and when we asked for an extra pillow as the one we had was very thin and hard were told there were none available. The bathroom was clean but the shower did not fit on the wall so you had to hold it in your hand. As stated on their website their are no additional facilities such as common rooms or kitchen.

Great place! Situated only 5 minutes from Plaza del Sol. Loved it! They don't serve breakfast but at the corner down the street there ist the best churrería in town, try the purros with chocolate :-) I defenitly recommend that place!!! I will come back, thankx!!!
