It's difficult to find because its outskirts of the town . But they can pick you up from anywhere in a town. Its about 10 min from city center. Hostel was clean and safe, owners very helpful.

Our room and the toilets were clean. Before arrival, we emailed the hostel to arrange for pick-up from bus terminal but did not receive a reply. So we asked our Chilean friend to call the owner to confirm our arrival. Upon arrival in San Pedro de Atacama in the night, we couldn't find anyone from Hostel Iquisa waiting for us. We paid 2,000 pesos to a lady from another hostel to drive us there and were told that the owner from this hostel always do not turn up for his guests.

Comfortable stay in San Pedro de Atacama for low cost. Only the location is not the best, but that's not so bad, because on the 10 min way to the centre of San Pedro de Atacama you pass a nice and cheap little market with fruits, vegetables, olives and cheese.

Really not far from the city centre, and is actually preferable...look up at the stars on the walk home!

This is an OK place to stay, the rooms are comfortable, there is a central courtyard to hang out and meet fellow travellers, and the owners are friendly, and will pick up and drop off at the bus station. Hot water was intermittent, but this is not unusual for the area. The biggest issue with this place is its location - it is on the fringes of San Pedro. While it is a 10 - 15 min walk to the centre of town - while this does not sound far, it is a long way for san pedro.

This hostel is not centrally located (about 20 minutes walking). During the day, there were moments that water wasn't available to have shower. However, we could meet nice people there.

We only booked one night at hostal Iquisa and wanted to stay for three.Though this was not possible Roberto was very helpful in ensuring we had somewhere else to stay and took us to his families other hostal in his van. Hostal Iquisa was quite far from the central plaza so we were glad to go to the other closer hostal. Hostal Iquisa was clean and the shower was good there were quite a few flies but in the desert this cant be helped. The kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed our stay.

rooms are comparatively big. if you dont mind staying away from the touristic city center for less its a good choice. the owner wasnt present when we arrived - she lives two houses up the street (just in case).

yes, there is the dessert but such a lot of dirthy in the bath and sleeping rooms must really not be, no breakfast, no water during the night and often no warm water during the day, there is a lot to do much better being value the money

No one was on reception to check us in. Room and bathrooms were small and dirty. Location was far from the centre of the town. However staff were friendly and moved us to a different hostel.

Very rustic place. Only 2 bathrooms for around 20 people, no lockers, internet works once in a while. However I loved it. Its really sweet. The staff is nice, the atmosphere is great, the place is built as a square around a little yard, so its easy to socialize, there are 2 hammacs, an accesible kitchen, hot water from 7 am to 11 pm ,the beds are comfortable and clean. I enjoyed my stay there.

It is a horrible hostel. The rooms are to small, the staff is never there to help you, there´s only 2 toilets for the hole hostel and there´s no toilet paper. Also, they close the water at 11pm, and you cant take a shower later, even if you had been to a tour that ended at 10pm and you are really dirty with all the dust. Plus, the water is cold and with almost no pression. its probably the worst hostel in san pedro

The place was very over booked, and I was lucky to get a bed. As the host wasn't around, I had to wake up at night and tell visitors who arrived late and were banging on the door to get in, that despite having reservations there were no beds available, and already one small bed had two people in it.

There only seemed to be one staff member, who could not speak a word of English, and often we couldn't find her. We had to wait ages for our room to be ready, an then even longer to actually be given the key. And when we asked if we could use the laundry service, she said no because there was already too much laundry for her to do (they clearly need another staff member!). But the rooms were nice, the wifi was fast, the hammocks/courtyard area was great & we met lots of fun people there :)

Terrible. Our room was in the "lobby"- very loud, and SO HOT. Couldn't open the windows for privacy reasons and flies. The bathrooms and kitchen were DIRTY. Also, a screaming match erupted between the owner and some guests over missing guest property, in front of all other guests. The owner also said in front of me that she didn't care I was there because I wouldn't understand. RUDE!... Only plus was internet, which we stayed to use even after checkout- until the police arrived after the fight!

I really liked this hostel. It is only a 7 min slow walk in the suburbs, which is really cool as to get away from the ' Englishlness' of main town San Pedro and stay on roads where 'ACTUAL CHILEANS' live.... I.e San Pedro is a village full of American accents and the hostel is a refreshing break from it all. The staff have basic english, but are uber friendly and helpfyll- it's a great way to practise your spanish. We booked all our tours with the hostel, which were 5 star

We never experienced what was said on the previous reviews : no pickup service, no bikes available, no laundry, etc... There is 2 bathrooms for 14 or 16 guests and there were dirty almost all the time.
