It's a nice, quiet place but too big....it makes it more difficult to meet new people..
We loved this hostel. All of the outdoor seating areas are fantastic and the staff are brilliant, very helpful and friendly!
Loved our stay here. Large comfy clean tidy room. Great chill out area on the roof and well equipped kitchen. A very friendly local cat (small, black) came and visited us each eve while we reclined in our hammock. We called him "queso" which I believe others should continue to do otherwise you might confuse the poor thing. Would stay again.
This is a great place to stay in Taganga! The hostel is huge with 3 levels of great public spaces for chilaxing. The onsite restaurant is great too though better breakfasts can be found nearby. The wifi was good but didn't reach our room.
A really good place to stay! And amazing food!
We had a great time here, more like a hotel than hostel with great double rooms, hammocks to chill and a stunning restaurant. Even serves proper tea in a tea cup!
Nice hostel with area to chill out in hammocks. Kitchen was closed in the evenings when I was there. Monday and Tuesday night.
Nice rooms and really good common areas. Food is high class. Short walk up hill from beach.
Good location, close enough (8 min walk) to all the action, diving spots, bars, etc but away from the noise. The exception is one particular neighbour who insisted on blasting music until 8am, on a Sunday night no less. The hostel is beautiful and clean with plenty of space to chill out. Lively but not raucous. Staff are efficient but indifferent. I would absolutely stay again.
The fantastic restaurant on site makes this a worthwhile place to stay for a night. Staff are friendly and helpful. Could do with some directions to get to the hostel as it's a bit tricky to find due to it's non-central location in Taganga.
The hostel is clean but no AC including private rooms. Cash only except for room payment, so bring plenty of cash. Not much going on. Bring mosquito repellent. Excellent dinner at the restaurant but a bit pricey.

Several areas to chill in a hammock or meet fellow travelers over a few beers, which includes a nice rooftop view. The staff was very friendly and our room was cleaned daily. A special thanks to Juliette for calling an outside vendor (twice!) to ensure our bus was coming. You rock. One caveat - We heard stories of petty theft while walking back to the hostel after 1am. Only take cash if you stay out late, but otherwise it's safe during the day and within the hostel gounds at all times.

AMAZING food, fantastic and friendly staff! Beautiful grounds and facilities. Really enjoyed our stay. Too loud in the evenings, no apparent effort to rein in late night (i.e. past midnight) partiers.
My boyfriend and I loved La Casa de Felipe. The private rooms are a good size, have awesome fans, good water pressure, and are clean. The common areas are amazing. There are tons of hammocks and a beautiful viewpoint where you can see the ocean and watch the sunset. The restaurant is a little overpriced, but definitely yummy. Our only complaint is that the wifi is pretty weak...it took us forever to book our next hostel simply because we couldn't get anything to load.
Awesome hostel with amazing staff and food and everythinggggggg! But, our shower barely had water pressure. And I mean barely. It was worse than a drinking fountain. Other than that, this place is the best hostel in taganga and all must eat at the in house restaurant!!!!
Its a little bit away from the town, but there's a supermarket close and places to stay. The hostel is really clean, you get a key for your room. It has a nice outdoor space! really good filet mignon, nice kitchen! i really recomend it!
Not many hostels offer restaurant quality food at hostel prices; this is one where you can get superb Filet !ignon for less than US$12. Great outside space, and very spacious dorms.
By far one of the best hostels I have ever stayed at in all of South America! The rooms are great, the staff is so helpful, the atmosphere is incredible and the people who stay here are amazing. I recommend not just the hostel but the restaurant here as well. A really great French chef who is wonderful at doing what he loves, cooking! The only thing that wish was better was the poor water pressure in the showers.
Cannot say enough about Casa de Felipe! The ladies that work there were super helpful and very nice. Alex helped us get to Casa Elemento in Minca and lined up moto taxi's last minute. We missed out on the party bus but the layout of the hostel is huge and the chef was awesome! Thanks for everything! Super fun atmosphere and very good spot to meet young travelers.
