The hostal is well-located near sites and restaurants. The building was very beautiful and the rooms are clean and cozy, though they are run-down and worn. Some of the staff spoke basic English, and they were friendly and helpful. There was no breakfast at the hostal, but when we asked we were given vouchers to exchange for a pastry and coffee at a nearby cafe. Great wifi. The only problem was noise from the lobby and the street.

It was very simple, but I enjoyed my stay there, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff were very friendly.

The lady at the front desk was hostile. The place is freezing cold. No smoking signs are posted but ignored and so windows are left open.

We stayed for six nights in a private room. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were cleaned everyday. Location was fantastic. Just one minute walk from Gran Via and other major streets. For the given price, we couldn't have had a better deal.
