We sayed in a private double room ensuite. old furniture and windows but new toilets & shower. very central area on a crowded shopping pedestrian street (it may be noisy at night) very close to loads of tapas bars & restaurants and touristic attractions. they provide no breakfast but they advised for a cheap typical cafe-bar. tv & air conditioning in the room (you may use that for heating).

Definitely excellent value for money. Our room was a bit noisy (we stayed there during the Christmas holidays) but all in all, we enjoyed the place very much. Very friendly staff! (Recuerdos, Julio! ;-) )

There were some problems with the reservation. They also tried to charge us more.

Once we got past the door the hostal was a very pleasant, secure and clean environment with a helpful and reliable staff. The location is excellent. All key attractions, public transport and restaurants are nearby,

Due to "mucho problemo problemo" according to the only spanish speeking lady at the reception of hostal Larios, I had to be transferred to another hotel nearby which I didn't like and offcourse hadn't chosen in the first place. Poor service.

The location is perfect but it dosen't have much character but you get your own TV... What really annoyed me is the curfew: reception closes at 2am and there can not be made any exceptions....

The location is great, just in the city center. It is a quiet place so not that fun inside. The rooms are small but clean - they were cleaning them each night and changed towels. The BIG problem of this place is the staff: - only one guy was able to speak English (Julio). His minus: he imposed us to come back before 2 o'clock in the night and there is no curfew policy of the hostel. - even in Spanish, they were unable to provide information (places to visit, busses to take)

We did not end up stopping at the hostel as when we arrived there was smoke coming from the lift. The hostel put us in a sister hotel. This did cost more, but they gave me a 50% discount. We could have gone back to the hostel the following day but my five year old was settled in the alternative hotel. I did view the hostel and it looked really clean. I would have been happy to stay there if there had been no problem with the lift. If is up 4 flights of stairs if lift not working.
