This place has a great atmosphere and unique style. It was also very clean... something I'm really particular about. Good social areas too and the staff were helpful. Would definitely recommend.
One member of staff was lovely and super helpful, the rest seemed like it was a massive effort to help out. Nice outside common area with the fire, easy walk to town but not super close. Kitchen facilities weren't bad, bathrooms were ok. Overall a decent stay.
Location is not the best 5 mins to town, hard to find when off the bus, some of the staff are a bit clueless about what's included in the tours but are helpful. The common area is nice and the beds are comfy.
When booking a tour through the hostel make sure you find out about all extra costs as staff are very forgetful and don't tell you that extra money is needed. The staff are rather disorganized. The hostel is clean and the kitchen big enough to cook in.
A cute little hostel about a 5 minute walk to the main square. The kitchen is clean and well equipped, the fire outside at night is nice and the beds are comfy. The staff were great, Jorge was my favourite, always making sure everything was OK!
Great hostel! Difficult to find from bus station but thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We have a great time in Laskar Hostel, all the staff was very friendly and helpful
Really nice hostal at a reasonable price. Would recommend.
Open fire at night was definitely a perk as it got pretty cold at night! As was the tea and coffee. Difficult to find from the bus stop but luckily a local walked me there!
Excellent kitchen facilities, lovely hot shower even though there are only 2 toilets and showers. Noticed rubbish bin always emptied in the kitchen by staff and they always packed away dishes. Quiet hours from midnight. Dorm rooms cold at night as no heating but that seems the standard in San Pedro. Your bed is made every day for you by the staff. Good atmosphere with a bonfire every night. We found it easy to get to from bus station. 3 mini markets across from hostel.
Staff were excellent - very helpful. Lovely sunny courtyard with tables and chairs as well as hammocks created a really nice atmosohere for chilling out. The wifi was good but a little sketchy at times. A short walk to the Plaza de Arma and all the actionj made this a great location. I would definintely recommend this to others.
Small wee place, didn't get much sleep with the dorm room off the main entrance and people coming and going all the time.
The directions to the hostel are a little hard to follow as there are not a lot of street signs between there and the bus station. We really liked the outdoor areas, especially at night when they light the fire. As it is winter, it was pretty cold inside and there didn't appear to be any heating, but despite that it was a good place to stay.
Nice place, difficult to find in the dark and taxi did not know where it was. Once we were there no real issues and staff were very helpful!
Don manuel is super cool and friendly. Everything is super clean, even though there is only two very clean bathrooms, I never had to wait to shower or use them. I The beds are comfy, and warm, first hostel where they do your bed when you are away sight seeng. I know I will be back to Laskar Cabur!
Staff seemed to change almost every day, and with them stayed friends or family. So once there was a loud family BBQ or for a couple of days a creepy dude hanging around getting stoned and drunk most of the time. The hostel itself is great, it has comfy hammocks and enough shade, and a kichen with enough pots and pans! God almighty!
Great patio and atmosphere to meet people staying at the hostel. The staff is amazing and helped to plan the tours, all stress free!

As San Pedro de Atacama is generally a bit pricy, the Price was ok but you don´t get breakfast, they dont even offer salt or oil for cooking which was normal in every hostel i´ve been to. the staff is nice, bathrooms are ok as well. the guy from the hostel offered us a trip in the desert and after i told him that we booked it at another travel agency he was kind of strange afterwards. all in all it is nice.
Travelling as a couple in a double room we really enjoyed our stay here, couldn't have asked for a better place. The staff were very welcoming and helpful (when needing to book tours etc). The communal kitchen was always kept very clean and tidy which made cooking a pleasant experience. When there was no hot water in the shower Ariel sorted it out immediately :) Great location too! Will definitely come back to stay here if we come back.
Good Lil hostel, about 10mins walking to the town center. Staff didn't speak English but we're friendly and helpful. Great outdoor area. There are only two toilets/showers and they can get quite dirty but are cleaned twice in a day. Hot water was an on again off again thing. Most of the secure lockers weren't actually usable which was a tad annoying. I definitely recommend this hostel regardless of the small faults.
