Excellent location and very safe. Recommend taking a taxi to the train station or near by metro for the airport. All of the sites are within walking distance. I would recommend taking a taxi or the bus to see some of Gaudi's work around the city. The staff was very friendly and helpful even though the day staff did not speak much english. There are computers to use and the breakfast available was filling. Bathrooms were clean and would recommend this hostel.

The hostel is in a very good location, but very noisy, becuase it is on a very busy street. Take earplugs, if u want to have a good sleep or get very tired in the city by sightsseeing. On the pictures you think the whole building is the hostel, but only some parts of the second floor, where the flags are. The breakfast is very simple, but maybe that is normal for a hostel like this. You can use two computers for free. The staff was helpful with good english.

The hostel is in a perfect central location, very easy to get to from Plaza Catalunya. Some of the staff members are more helpful than others. The hostel is a bit older and the facilities are old, but the room overall is clean.

I won't recommend the private single. Too small and just a bed in the bedroom and nothing else. Not even a bathroom or toilet inside. Additionally, the furniture (bed, table, chair) were very old, kind of cheap. A disaster!!! Something you don't expect in 2013. And to finish, the noise from the street comes into the room and the room was too hot since the heater was on by 28 degrees outside; unbelievable!!!

Great location: 2' > Metro Jaume, 10' > Ramblas/Pl. Catalunya. Nice sunny living room with terrace. Really good breakfast for the price: coffee/tea/milk/fruit juices/toasts/jams/muffins/corn flakes. Clean bathroom. My bedroom was a single on the backside with little windows on an inner court so it was quite dark but there was a sink (good point), the bed was ok and as it was not on the street side, it was really quiet at night. Staff was nice too, if you need something, you just have to ask..

Wonderful staff and a really nice stay. The location is great, next to the gothic part of the city and only a few blocks from the Marina and beach. This was a quiet stay no loud groups or parties. Thanks

We were given a small room with a window into a tiny and dark backyard when we had the impression of every room having balconies and sun. The staff was friendly, the place clean. sparse on everything else.

Pros: Nice location, near a metro, and several bus routes. Breakfast Free (Basic, but OK), Free WiFi, Cons: The hotel is located above a subway, and significant vibrations and noise can disturb when trying to sleep. No sound proofing between walls and running water in the washroom can be heard in a room several feet away. Not all rooms are Balcony rooms. Very small "double" bedroom. The room door doesn't shut tightly and there is a slight gap even when closed.

Pros: Very helpful staff. Excellent location, in the heart of Gothic Quartier. Metro "Jaume I" at 50m distance. 4 bus routes at 30m distance. Few items in breakfast but quantity is plentiful. Towels provided. Cons: Lift for 4th floor (for hostel) is tiny, cramped and ancient. Kid stroller needs to be folded to get inside. Double-bed rooms are small, claustrophobic, without outwards window. Walls are extremely thin. Room 314 (next to washroom) is very hard to sleep in due to washroom noise.

They have nice, clean and cheap "Hotel" rooms for the price of a Hostel. Staff is really nice and cooperative. Great, great, great location and beautiful building with superb view balconies. I really loved my stay here.

Everything ok but the fact that there was no hot milk for breakfast and no possibility to heat it. We asked and they told us to put cold milk on hot coffee but we wanted hot milk, so easy. There was no soap neither and they said it was normal even if they supplied some later. The free computer room is a very good idea.

The location is just amazingly good. Tourists come to the square downstairs and shoot everyday while we can just watch the scene on the nice balcony with a cup of tea. Breakfast is not excellent but tolerable which is included. There's a small kitchen that you can use. Staff are friendly. Cleanliness is just average because they don't tidy up everyday (they didn't come in the room in our 3-day's stay). All in all good for the price.
